Just joined the community- I live in UK and have been listening for a little time . Really appreciate the mix and variety of music from across the generations ...
About to pack up the Volt and return from Pittsburgh (home of sinkholes and yinzers) back to the Best Coast. Taking a long route two weeks so as to avoid snow, through Tulsa, Amarillo, Sedona, San Luis Obispo, and avoiding I-5. Should all be boring until the Tehechapi Pass, which might be snowy, but it's not forecast as such.
But, just to make things fun, it's snowing like crazy outside now including a severe weather bulletin. So I guess I load of the car in the morning and relax tonight...
i'd go through key west
you know, to avoid the snow and all
Best check Amarillo & Raton NM if your going through there. Can be dicey at times...
Yep. So far it looks not rainy/snowy so I'm feeling confident. OTOH, I'm still bringing the chains and spare tire. The beloved Volt doesn't come with one, so when I had a sidewall blowout doing 85mph or so on a Sunday evening about 15 miles outside the city of Mojave (a few miles outside the AAA coverage!) it turned into a multi-hour "adventure." Lesson learned and the spare goes on big trips with us now.
Brought a guy out from his dinner break and here he is loading us up onto his rig. "Just sit in the car and I'll bring you to the hotel." WTF? Isn't that illegal and dangerous and our only option so let's go!

Since its raining and cold outside I'm in the process of putting back all the tools and implements of destruction used in house repairs from the Summer & Fall, back in their proper places in the basement.
