Hence a Trump...

then a reply text to a patron this morning after certain aspersions...

... several folks have indicated to me that they don't shop Home Depot because CEO contributes to or is against various lifestyles etc. I'm good with that. People should be able to take a stand one way or another and other people should be able to oppose one way or another, pocketbooks and otherwise.

I choose to let folks practice their political divisions with my support of their ability to choose.

However, for me personally, I choose people first and care very little for divisive partisan politics and the hypocrisy associated with it and make no distinction for it in my day to day interactions.

I shop at both Lowes and Home Depot for price but even more for availability of selection. In both stores I regularly deal with friendly and helpful people of all races, shapes, physical challenges and sexual orientation. I see them most every day as I go to one or the other stores. People needing their jobs and their paychecks.
Those people represent the company to me.
I don't really care what CEOs are for or against.
As naive as that may seem given corporate power in this country, what is more naive is thinking that somehow one can spend or suspend their way to tolerance and equality. It's a moot point in my opinion.
People before politics is the point.

Hope my little screed does not offend. It's just that I'm drowning in arguments and a bit weary of the hypocrisy. I believe that the country is also.
