Do you or Jiggz have ANY EVIDENCE that illegal immigrants at our southern border have organized or are organizing into a terrorist threat against the US? You're the ones avoiding the direct question.
Do you seriously believe that Trump has a coherent plan to deter illegal immigration at our southern border if he's re-elected? Remember that this is the guy who couldn't even get his beloved wall built. This is the guy who wants to fire missiles at Mexican cartels, with or without the approval of the Mexican government. Trump doesn't stop to think that doing so could completely destabilize the Mexican government while doing NOTHING to decrease Americans' appetite for cheap labor and plentiful street drugs.
Consider also that illegal immigrants still tried to get into the US despite Trump's promise of zero tolerance and policy of separating children from their parents. Numerous parents interviewed for news stories said that they would be willing to have that separation happen if it gave their kids a chance at staying in the US.
I highly doubt that Trump in '24 would be any more effective than Biden, Obama or Bush at slowing illegal border crossing attempts. The main drivers for this problem are the economic and political problems of the crossers' countries of origin. When things get worse in those countries, more people try to flee to the US. I can't imagine Trump has any interest in helping stabilize our southern neighbors.
If you want a third choice, a good start would be to help Mexico and large countries like Brazil absorb more immigrants and turn away people intent on passing through their borders to get the US. The federal government could also try to mandate that each state take in more immigrants so as to ease the burden on places like TX and CA. The government could also bolster the immigration system to process and admit more individuals who can prove that they can contribute and live peacefully in the US. There are areas in this country where the decline in population is causing economic and social problems.
But I don't expect intelligent discussion with you. You just want some loudmouthed criminal narcissist to run the country for you so you don't have to actually think for yourself. You just repeat the crap that right-wing talking heads spew, even though they openly lied to you about how the election was rigged and Trump won. You're really not much better than Pavlov's dog.

You did use the word all in your remarks about the Chinese even though no one else did ... I did not know that all Chinese caught at our southern border make up "combat divisions worth of fit, single, fighting age Chinese men."

I did not know that.
Whatever reasonable claim your posts had to serious consideration is long, long gone. You refuse to discuss the legal cases that Trump faces as well as has his obvious attempt to overthrow American democracy. You refuse to acknowledge that a jury found Trump guilty of rape and defamation of character. You run away from acknowledging that Trump's carelessness and incompetence cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of American Covid-infected individuals.
You cling to some vision of America that is fading into the past, a vision that Trump, even in his prime and with maximal powers, could not bring back.
When it comes to politics AFAICT you run on fear and hatred.
If you're trying to convince reasonable people that they should share your concerns, you've done the exact opposite. Own your failure.

Yeah, but by the same logic, many of them are 'good guys with guns', so they will be there to offset any mayhem that the bad guys will try to get up to.
Also in the crowd: the Tin man; that one guy who knows the formula for Coke; Waldo (see if you can find him); The great and magnificent Carnak; your 12th grade 'girlfriend from Canada'; the stay puft marshmallow man (he would never harm us); and any number of other persons who we wish to plaster with our hopes, dreams, fears and psychosis. They're all in there, you just have to believe, well except for your Canadian girlfriend - we all knew that was bullshit.

CBP Enforcement Statistics Fiscal Year 2023 22,187 arrests of Chinese ≠ " 5 combat divisions worth of fit, single, fighting age Chinese men" Since you're chiming in, perhaps you can provide evidence of " sleeper cells from numerous Sharia fundamentalist countries" . A division is a large military unit or formation, usually consisting of between 6,000 and 25,000 soldiers. So that would be nearly 4 by this minimum definition.
With over 2 million gotaways, it would be reasonable to conclude that many of them would likely be terrorists of some sort.
You are parsing over minutiae, ignoring the obvious. Or you don't care and approve of all the illegal border crossings and want them to continue.

And then yes, I agree with you, half the country is going to get proper, roiling mad at the other half.

That would be better for us outside of the US in the rest of the world, than the effect of what I worry might happen.
I am quite convinced that for some reason there won't be an election.

Do you have any evidence to back this up?
Frankly, if Trump wins I think he would seriously consider suspending elections to help him or the GOP stay in power. He tried to get the DOJ to issue a blanket statement calling the 2020 presidential election into question, assuring DOJ officials that if they'd make that statement, he and GOP Congressmen would provide sufficient excuses.
Trump tried to use fake Electors to change the results in swing states. He asked GA and AZ officials to break the law and change vote counts that had been verified multiple times. Someone else here will have to chime as to whether Trump, Giuliani et amici were caught trying to similarly pressure officials in other swing states.
The Democratic party would not suspend elections come Hell or high water. Trump likely would. Trump is on a mission to destroy American democracy.

i'm super busy with work, so i haven't been giving much attention to the polling
in light of events and the news cycle, i just assumed that people would just re-elect biden/harris
oddly i saw a video by a black influencer speaking about another influencer showing clips of hip hop/rap artists promoting trump
i admit i was surprised and i'm guessing they can be quite persuasive among the youth following them
i just glanced at some polling over at 538 and see that trump and biden are literally neck and neck
going forward i wonder how much will hinge on trump's legal situation?
