Radio Paradise

Not the biggest Billy Joel fan, might play one of his albums once a year or so...but he does put on a hell of a live show. Saw one of his 100 odd MSG shows few years back.

Billy Joel hasn't put out a new song in more than a dozen years, and his last original album, "River of Dreams," came out in 1993. He is out with a new song, "Turn The Lights Back On," which debuted this morning and that he reportedly will perform live on the Grammys this weekend.

Tonight I heard Radio Paradise play a track from the album Still Moving. I'm pleased you're playing this terrific record but please give proper credit. It's not a Justin Adams album; it's a collaboration between Adams and Mauro Durante, the great Italian violinist, percussionist, and vocalist from Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (CGS). Adams heard Durante and his band at a WOMAD festival. He loved their sound and wanted to collaborate with them. Besides Still Moving, he's played with Durante on the two most recent CGS albums.
