Can we get back the auto-play when starting the iOS app? Two days before the new app came out, I programmed my iPhone's Action Button to launch RP. I would get into my car, press it, and boom RP began playing. Perhaps a listening graphic designer could give you some pro-bono input on the Home Screen, etc. Other than that, I'm really loving the updated curation that includes a wider variation of genre's in the main Mix!
I have no idea how that might work in the UK. Elsewhere, the fallback is always TuneIn, but they don't operate in the UK.
It started working normally a day or so after I posted, so hopefully just a one-off glitch.
Unrelated, but the songs I'm hearing on the Echo Dot (station stream not skill, but reproducible with the Android RP app on my phone) seem to be 2 possibly 3 songs in advance of whatever is showing on the website now playing list - I'm currently listening to "One Perfect Sunrise" (Orbital) which started at 18:09 UK Time but the now playing list currently shows The Flood (Katie Melua) which started at 18:08 (it didn't - it played at 18:02:50) and I heard it 2 songs ago.
Edit: Possibly a caching issue, but I'm seeing the same issue across 2 devices and 3 browsers (Android, Firefox/Windows and Chrome/Windows). I have cleared the caches, but refreshing/loading the now playing page is still showing stale data ie. "Pinie (feat. orbit)" (Parra for Cuva) as the current song with a timestamp of 18:04 when it is now 18:20. Odd.
for song comments, it would be nice if the top was in it's own frame (new,old...), so it doesn't scroll away (remains at the top, so you could write a new, or switch your view).
Don't know if it's a bug or a feature request, but here are some things I have noticed with the new v9 iOS app:
I cannot see what the remaining time is of a song that's playing
There is a large previous icon while playing, but as you are not able to go back in a playlist I don't see the point of showing that button. Don't know for sure if that button was there with the old app, but I can see it's not showing in the web player. With a little redesign that leaves more room for other information (like the remaining time for instance
)
roku app just crashed and
wouldn't restart. I rebooted and it is still dead. Tries to load, gets to the music screen then dies and the rolu home page pops up.
Just updated to the new iOS app - Version 9.0.0 (1112) and most everything seems to work and I like the new look, but the "My Paradise" (which I presume used to be My Favorites) does not work. It just says "Connecting to My Paradise" with the flashy "progress bar" dots bouncing. No audio, no artwork.
I also don't see any way to look at my song ratings in the new app. I see them here on the web, so the data is in the cloud still, just not accessible on the new app.

Weird Roku thing just now. Twice RP app would just randomly close, and send me Home. A system restart after the first crash, didn't help.
Trying to skip the Roku to a station break to load the latest playlist, cause it to stall and not move forward. Restarting the app does not help. Probably restarting the Roku would clear, but didnt do it. I realize this is low on the list, but wanna bring to your attention.
Thanks for all you do.
Hi, sorry if this has already been covered, but I can't cast to my Google devices anymore. The cast option just isn't there on the updated app, is this getting fixed or is this just the way it is now?
Our primary way of listening is to cast from our phones to our Google speakers, so if this features gone it will be a big loss for us.
we're subscribers on the UK if that makes any difference...
Just to add, for some reason my app is different from my wife's. Her app looks the same as ever & the app version ends (2024). Mine is version 9.0.0 (2021). I've tried uninstall/reinstall but it only downloads the same app with the same problem.
Is this a new app, or am I somehow being diverted to an old app on the Google store?

Quick question.... on Alexa (in my case Dot Gen 5s), has "play radio paradise station" (for the stream, not the skill) been broken in the last couple of days? It silently does nothing now, but previously reliably played the stream (I had it setup as a routine!)
Thanks! (UK btw)

Looks like RP went back to a visual web interface format where the info view ( i ) no longer shows the album art, but instead shows the slideshow. I much rather prefer seeing the album art (rather than the tiny thumbnail on the left music list), as I am a music nerd and love cover art. I would ask that you consider putting album art back, as if I wanted the slide show, I could just use that viewing option. Bring back album artwork!
Been listening to this station since 2009 and still hoping that one day you will add a 'mark as favorite' (or similar feature). Yes you have your play lists, but if you are on the go it is pratically impossible to remember the exact moment you were listening to a song to then go later when you have time to try and look it up.
People frequently use our song rating system for that.
