I ask because when I saw Steven Wilson solo in Vancouver a few years back, I wish I had them.   I can still hear a pin drop in the bush at 80 metres distant and would like to keep it that way.

The guy next to me was wearing them, but I didn't feel the need.  But I had some in my pocket just in case.

The Chicago show, on 9/20/22 at the Auditorium Theater was great.  Steve and the band were a little under the weather.
Noticeable in Steve's voice at times for which he was very apologetic.  The show was great and worth it just to see Gavin play.
One of the loudest applause moments came when Steve introduced Gavin to the audience.

Met a couple guys, who did not come together, who were from Ohio.   Traveling to see Porcupine Tree is a thing for certain.

The Auditorium Theater is not a big venue, a little over 3,000 seats.
Tickets were pricey, but surprising to me, all the seats were not filled.
Acoustically it is very good, but that isn't really a factor when listening to a typical prog rock  performance.
Could really feel the music, just as it should be.

Thanks clwguy.

Listening to the latest album, I cannot help but think that Rush fans will really dig this album.   The drumming....

My closest potential venue is Vancouver — 4 hours drive — but alas no PT concert is scheduled for backwater Vancouver.  Seattle would be a 7 hour drive and then I would worry about security.  Calgary would be 8 1/2 hours.

Don't miss it if you are a PT fan!!

Thanks for your timely post. I saw PT in 2011 at the Fox Theater in Boulder Colorado, which holds 600 folks. I stood about 10 from the stage the entire show & they absolutely crushed it!  Didn't know they were on tour so I just checked & snagged tix for their show here in Denver on September 25th.  Glad to hear they killed it when you saw them!
