The performer order did seem a bit random. Prine came back and played 3 songs, but boy howdy did he sound terrible—like he was getting over a nasty cold or something.

Emmylou mostly sang backup to Rodney Crowell, which isn't quite what I was hoping for but I'll take all the Emmylou I can get. I was underwhelmed with the gospel act that closed the show (most of the audience in the football field packed up and left while she sang) but we stuck it out. John Jorgenson was amazing as always, played 3 instruments (4 if you count acoustic and electric guitars) in completely different styles like a boss.

I could have listened to Leila McCalla all night. Damn that girl has talent. Angella Ahn played fiddle for her and she's giving a concert at MSU next week. I am sooo there!

Emmy was all bundled up; I think the cool weather and elevation kicked some butts last night.

Angella Ahn's a prof at MSU?

Ahn Trio playing Bowie sounds really cool

The stream was pretty iffy here. I think the whole show was a mad scramble. John Prine was surely supposed to do a full set, right? I think he excused himself and Rodney Crowell did a quick ad-lib, had John Jorgenson stall (he could have done a whole Hellecasters set and I would've been happy), and then they had Emmy come out early, is that the way it seemed to you?

Leyla McCalla was the highlight of the show for me...

Tonight!

With Emmylou, John Prine headlining

Music starts at 8:45 Mountain time, that's 10:45 Eastern, 7:45 pacific and who the hell knows, Arizona.

I streamed it from the football field at Gardiner School. We got to watch it on two jumbotrons, but we sat where we had a glimpse—maybe 5 ft wide—of the stage, so I can honestly see I've now seen Emmylou Harris in person.

I gotta belive Desert Trip would be a major success on PPV and not hurt ticket sales for the live show

I'm thinking it might be available for free.  Mark Cuban's cable channel AXS runs The Coachella Festival every year as well as other major festivals.  I had hours of last years on my ATT dvr but couldn't get them off before I had to give up when we changed providers.  Don't get the channel now with TWC.  I miss it.

AXS has lots of kick ass concerts and primo sound is normal.

I'm surprised that there are not any cable TV Pay Per View live concerts like they bo with boxing matches.
The Rolling Stones did it in 1989 or 90 with the Steel Wheels tour and I thought that this is the begining and there will be a lot of concerts like this but it never came to be.

Thanx 4 the links, I will be checking them out.
The Ben Folds & yMusic concert was very good, so good that I now have to search for yMusic alone.
Folds did his impromptu song thing also, "gonna rock this bitch, Detroit rock city" etc.
Glad they did every RP listeners favorite, "Capable Of Amything" {#Wink}
You can see/hear the show on a replay here, https://www.yahoo.com/music/livenation/

This is the first time I've seen a live concert being streamed, what else has there been?

There was Arcade Fire - Live from Madison Square Garden, 2010

There's Live Coachella.
