At least it's temporary insanity.  They're recalling six of the law-breaking senators, and it looks like they'll probably be ousted.  It was close because the Republicans managed to get three law-abiding senators recalled (for what, I have no clue), but they prevailed.  Then the Republicans entered six Republican candidates who pretended to be Democrats to force a totally unnecessary (where have I heard that before?) primary election.  Their initial excuse was that "it was unfair" that their recall campaigns had only a month more than the Democratic recall victims were given to campaign.  But sure enough, at the last week before the primary, the phony Democrats launched full-boat campaigns, complete with attack ads.  Despite that, the real Democrats won the primary elections by a 2:1 margin, which is in the most extremely conservative districts in the state. For a Democrat to win in a landslide victory in those conditions is a pretty good indicator that even conservative Wisconsinites aren't going to stop until they repair the damage done by their momentary lapse of reason.

The Governor is just the beginning.  We have an outlaw state senate, led by a codger who's so mean that he screams even when he's happy.  (He's always wearing dark glasses...I think he's on dope.)  Then there's the state supreme court judge who lost an election, then suddenly "found" 7000 votes and won.  The very same judge strangled another judge and got away with it.  The cops are scared to arrest him, and today the DA announced that he's too scared to prosecute the case.  There were a dozen witnesses, and nothing!  Then there's the WI capitol employee who, bleeding for some unexplained reason, chased some poor lady with a balloon and popped it with "a dangerous weapon".  In response to this bizarre incident, they put up a big net to catch errant balloons (presumably to save their bleeding staffers the effort)...and took it down the next day.

Can't make that stuff up!

Right now I'm a man down with a nasty virus.  The good news is that I finally know why I've been so lethargic lately.  The bad news is the cost of the medicine!   In 20 weeks I'll be healthy but broke.

How's things with you?  Did you get hit by those storms?  A friend of mine went without power for a few days and a flooded car on top of that.  Hope you missed that part of it.
