The House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena in March for Bondi to appear at a deposition on the Department of Justice's handling of the Epstein investigation. She was set to testify on April 14.... ... âPam Bondi and Donald Trump may think her firing gets her out of testifying to the Oversight Committee. They are wrong - and we look forward to hearing from her under oath,â â Representative Robert Garcia, a California Democrat who serves as the committeeâs ranking member
And now that she is "jane" citizen she can't hide from the subpoena. Hope she is hopping mad at Trump and decides to just let it all out.
Not even Friday afternoon... must be something urgent.<

tRump said "We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future."
Bondi leaves after a tumultuous 14 months in charge that critics say damaged the Justice Department's credibility, hollowed out the career ranks and undermined the rule of law.
Note that he doesn't really take away people's livelihood, but simply reassigns them, sometimes into "jobs" that didn't exist before, just to keep them on the payroll.
The GOP and Libertarians ("small government!") should be the FIRST to decry this type of tax dollar waste. Right?
Keeping them on the payroll maintains control... and it's not his money.
He must have really needed something to distract from the war....which was a distraction from Epstein... Sorta "full-circle" moment.

I have visited with people who worked with Cesar Chavez and he was such a polarizing figure politically, I always assumed their reluctance to be effusive about him was based entirely in politics. California's Central Valley is very conservative, so even though Chavez' movement was a great thing for the people overall and the viability of farming too, it was never wise to sing his praises because odds were very good that you would be speaking to someone who resented him.
Cesar Chavez, a Civil Rights Icon, Is Accused of Abusing Girls for Years
An investigation by The New York Times found extensive evidence that the United Farm Workers co-founder groomed and sexually abused girls who worked in the movement.
I understand your concerns for your first point, but buying "an AR-15-style rifle as a Christmas present and allowing him access to that weapon and ammunition despite warnings that his son was a danger to others", or (in the case in Oxford, MI shootings), a SIG Sauer 9mm handgun, for teenagers, whose ages were 14 and 15, respectively, is something parents should bear some responsibility for, and should have control over (like locking up the firearms), dontcha think?
We agree for the most part. Parents are and should be held accountable for things like this when it is shown that they had knowledge or participated such as actually purchasing the firearms. I just had to throw in the part about the teachers to make my point about how bad things really are.
Yet you and yours seeks to prevent government agencies aka schools, from telling parents that their children are wishing to "transition" and to keep things like this secret from their parents. Parents have no rights and then they have responsibilities for other things that may be beyond their control.
I would say that the shooter's teachers should be found guilty as well, dontcha think ? ....
You have lost your ability to rationally compare issues.
Notification laws on violent behavior are to protect others. Buying a minor a weapon (which they can't buy on their own), and then not protecting others from that weapon after being warned that your child is potentially violent is negligent and against the law.
Transition laws are intended to protect the child. It matters not if you agree or disagree, but those laws are designed to protect the safety and privacy of the children, including from a place where they might feel at risk: home. It's the law.
It's not an issue of parental rights, it's an issue of safety... one personal... one public... on two entirely different issues that just so happen to impact school children and their parents. They are laws.

GOP Senator Yells at Kristi Noem Over Handling of DHS and Dog Murder âI wanna submit this letter from the Office of the Inspector General that cites 10 different instances under Ms. Noemâs leadership where theyâve been misled and not allowed to pursue investigations that they think are critically important. Does anybody have any idea how bad it has to be for the OIG in this agency to come out and do this publicly? That is stonewalling, thatâs a failure of leadership, and that is why Iâm calling for your resignation."
I never cared for, or voted for Tillis, but he's one of our Senators here. He's retiring and leaving what will be a hotly-contested Senate seat. Apparently he's run out of fâ§ââs to give.
Or he sees the handwriting on the wall and wants no part of that, even if only by association.
