Thank you for your honesty. The only ones here hoping for Trump to succeed are the "MAGA". No one else here wants to see Trump succeed at anything, period end of story.
Poor butt-hurt victim kurt. You are so much more comfortable thinking everyone is out to get you and your man.
The thing is that you are willing to discount the human cost of almost everything he does. So as long as he "succeeds" you are fine with it. That applies internationally and domestically.
I was against the second Iraq war, particularly the supposed justification of ending their nuclear program - even though the department of energy people who were in charge of monitoring and assessing the program were shut out of the drum-beat for war. In spite of your criticism of other presidents for being war mongers until trump decided to join them. When that war started my belief was that it was started under false pretences and the rosy picture of what would happen after a swift victory was bull, I hoped I would be wrong and they would "succeed". I will say it didn't turn out quite as badly as I thought, unless you are one of the dead or damaged, But it wasn't worth the cost.
So yeah, I'd love to see him succeed at improving the world rather than destroying it.

That's not true. I would imagine most people here are against a religious-based oppressive regime of right-wing lunatics who only keep in power by massive use of force against their own people.
Nobody is arguing that the potential to remove a major threat from leadership in Iran is good.

- Would it make sense to get some support at home, say congress, or even the American public before doing something... yeah, probably a good idea.
Yeah, brief Congress in advance of a surprise attack. It would be leaked within seconds. Trump gave the world a 10 day notice that he was going to act one way or another. That the top 40 Iranian leaders got picked off in the first 40 seconds would have never happened. Trump is only doing what everyone has said should be done for 40 years and counting. The once in a lifetime opportunity presented itself. That was the now or never moment.
So continue to root for Trump's failure. You will be proud of your courageous stance when it is all done and over.
66% of the 800 poll respondents are propagandized idiots.
Even if they're right, asking overly simplistic questions doesn't mean anyone would agree with the execution.
- Do you agree the Iranian regime was bad... YES
- Do you agree with the removal of funding for all soft power initiative globally before launching that war... ahhh No.
- Do you think you should antagonize, blame, and financially attack your allies before the war... hmmm probably not.
- Should you at least tell your allies what you're doing before you do it, in case you need some help (see: Hormuz).... why not.
- Do you think you should have a goal... regime change, nuclear weapons, etc. before starting the war.... sure
- Would it make sense to get some support at home, say congress, or even the American public before doing something... yeah, probably a good idea.
- Since a growing number of people don't have health insurance and struggle to pay the bills... should we hold off until things are (dare I say) more affordable... that would help.
I could go on... but why bother.
Nobody is arguing that the potential to remove a major threat from leadership in Iran is good. Most would like it done with some focus, planning, strategy, and leadership... none of which can be found in DC right now.

Indeed, two-thirds (66 percent) of Americans believe Iran poses a serious threat to the United Statesâ national security, almost three times the 22 percent who say Iran does not.
Even more tellingly, while divided over the military operation itself, we found that strong majorities of Americans back the campaignâs underlying objectives: 78 percent support stopping Iran from funding terrorist groups, 72 percent support ending its nuclear program, and 59 percent support regime change.
She neglected to point out that Murdoch's NY Post "reported" a similar story, with more details (e.g. the concentration of Iranian immigrants in CA, etc.). As seen in the other posts below.
