Didn't I see you fighting in the war back in 1942?
Every time I shape shift into form
I'm standing there right next to you
I keep searching all these dying stars
Just to get a glimpse of you
And all I have to do to drift away
Is close my eyes and think of you

Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her

Didn't I see you tearing down the wall back in 1989?
Didn't you feel my hand against your heart
When I told you you were always mine?
The best days of all my lives were spent dreaming of the afterlife
The best days of all my lives were spent dreaming of the afterlife
The best days of all my lives were spent dreaming of the afterlife

Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her
Whenever I think of her

"Born April 8" This year?

His birthday is Monday!
Awful noise disrupting my work flow...
Love this! and Sigur Ros :)
Underrated track and performer in my opinion. The whole album from which this track is taken is excellent and yards better than most of the dross the public is buying these days. The sample is of course from the original version of Piece of My Heart by Aretha Franklin's sister Erma.
Cool tune.  Heard it a lot lately... a lot...

And hang on, Sloopy!

“We were shooting a live video on a sound stage in Culver City, and I fucking lost it, because the whole thing didn’t feel like me,” he recalls. “I never lose my cool. I try to be the leader I want to see. A switch flipped, though. I thought I was looking at a dumb foam wall in the studio, but it was the glass door. I punched it so hard that when I pulled my hand back out you could see the eruption of blood everywhere. Turns out, I clipped all of these arteries. My drummer pulled a handkerchief from my pocket, tied a tourniquet around my arm, and my tour manager took me to the hospital. It turned out to be therapeutic. So many beautiful things happened. Since I made such an ass of myself, I knew the next record had to be the best thing I’ve ever fucking done,” he laughs.

Hmmm, maybe best listened to at a safe distance from the artist.
"Born April 8" This year?
+1 for Ric Flair on backing vocals.

That's where the whaos and woos come from.
Love the lyrics! Strange and nice
"chorus heavy" = stomp-clap-hey.

Meh.
Just call me Angel of The Morning !
Hang on Sloopy
I see that others disagree, but I like the layers and the way that they sort of create dissonance...the "woo's" are part of that...the wall of sound...pretty damn cool...
i wonder what happened to his arm.

I dig it.  Super simple but hits right.

I agree, deserves at least a 7 on first listen.
"chorus-heavy" is a euphemism for "not much there, creatively."

Isn't there something else that could take up these minutes? Something...creative and enjoyable?
"Didn't I see you farting in the wall" ?
Way too many 'whoa's" and 'woo"'s for me. totally kills it.
WOO!

WOO!

WOO!
Just call me angel of the cosmos...
I dig it.  Super simple but hits right.
Thought at first this was a cover of Angel of the Morning! Haha
This gets a Ho-Hum from me.... the monotonous rhythm sampling drags on... Sounds like the rough track of a song idea that didn't quite bake in the oven long enough.
Bam! Popped the comment board cherry!
