A living breathing result of the fight
And every night you spent shrouded in darkness
Has led you to this moment in the light, it's alright
Wonderful

Ahh ahh ahh ah, ah ah...
Wonderful

The sum of all the love inside your heart
Will get you through your plight, it's alright

My love is beautiful, it's here for the taking
It's strong and pure and utterly earth shaking
My love has brought me here to show you it's true
A wretch like me, you'll make it through
Will get you through your plight, it's alright"
First Life Love Rupture made me hell schizo during 20 years, this is today the épilogue to the question

Do I hear, "Dear Prudence?"
Yes, you do, definitely.
The bass guitar tone has powdered sugar on it... quite delicious.
I Agree!

A new one for me. Wonderful.
Yes! That is why we come here. Thanx RP!

Glorious.
Do I hear, "Dear Prudence?"
I can't imagine why, unless someone next door has their stereo playing loudly.
Perhaps because the studio "band" is just one guy ... although I understand he now has some help.
Look after the king of R n R please
My experience as well. Great band with some terrific albums but (after a few concerts) I don't ever need to see them live again.
Agreed that the opposite is preferable for me also.......... A great band live is the real thing.

After a "few concerts" I don't see a lot of bands or artists to be mandatory and unmissable.
Agreed, except I might have described it as Wonderful, Glorious! ;-)
+1 to 9 today...I always turn this one up so that's the +1 effect...LLRP!!
Wow... When I saw them, they were formulaic, and frankly, boring.
Great tunes, very clever, but live? Nah.
I couldn't agree more. I love their records but man, underwhelming live.

Big respect, easy 9 from your ol' scurvy dog.

I don't feel compelled to rush out and buy it, but it's nice to hear it on RP every now and then.
Nope - that is a B-17, but with RAF markings.
Seen over San Francisco this summer -

The Stirling was a good bit uglier ... TMYK
Well, how about that? Never knew the RAF marked B-17s. There are even books about the Coastal Service's complement. Thanks!
I'm hearing a Beck song
Sure looks like an RAF bomber to me--note the telltale roundels on the fusilage and upper wing. May be a Short Sterling (four engines, single vertical stabilizer), but the album pic is too murky to tell for sure.

i don't think so:
Lyrics of 'Wonderful, Glorious':

This might be the most appealing song I have heard from them

I guess it depends on your perspective, relating to the bombs. "Wonderful, Glorious" is likely not the sentiment of those towards whom the bombs were falling...
I think that is the irony that Fred was referring to.
A bit of an ironic cover, it appears. That looks like a WWII US bomber dropping its load.

but then again....maybe at the bridge.
