Blue, blue caravan, winding down to the valley of lights
My true love is a man who would hold me for ten thousand nights
In the wild, wild wailing of wind, he's a house 'neath a soft yellow moon
So blue, blue caravan, won't you carry me down to him soon?
Blue, blue caravan, won't you drive away all of these tears?
For my true love is a man that I haven't seen in years
He said, "Go where you have to, for I belong to you until my dying day"
So like a fool, blue caravan, I believed him and I walked away
Oh, my blue, blue caravan, oh the highway is my great wall
For my true love is a man who never existed at all
Oh, he was a beautiful fiction I invented to keep out the cold
But now, my blue, blue caravan, I can feel my heart growing old
Oh, my blue, blue caravan, I can feel my heart growing old
My true love is a man who would hold me for ten thousand nights
In the wild, wild wailing of wind, he's a house 'neath a soft yellow moon
So blue, blue caravan, won't you carry me down to him soon?

Way better than that eyelash chick.
Yes, indeed, she is back in the Music biz, after getting involved in environmental activism and concentrating on raising a child. I finally saw her this last July at the fantastic e-Town Hall, an intimate professional recording studio (KBCO Studio C) that holds a lucky bunch who get to bask in perhaps the best sound and acoustics available -- and she took us on a wonderful journey! Very friendly, lovely, sweet, and personal...as if we were in her home (in fact, she used to live here)... Her young daughter was in the Front Row; her very first live concert, the beaming mother told us. She blew us away, on a multitude of instruments. And of course, her voice is exquisite, ethereal, Divine! It was totally unforgettable and rather surreal...and I highly recommend the experience! Thanks, RP, for turning me on to her way back when she was first starting out!
Just took in her sold out 90 minute matinee performance at Jammin' Java in Vienna, Va. today 4/22/2023. Last evening's and this evening's shows also sold out. She pretty much played songs from all her albums. She mentioned that she is immersing herself into music again, working towards a new album and going on a tour which you can see listed on her website. Very enjoyable performance. I wouldn't have known she existed if it weren't for RadioParadise. Thank you!

I hope she put a rock on top of that when she was done.
The more I hear from this young lass, the more impressed I am.

Can't explain it, but there's just something in her voice that resonates with me! Rating in the infinite range!
Vienna Teng is one of the artists I'd never know about if not for RP
Her stuff is generally exccellent musically and in composition. Deserves more than she gets in our music industry

Nice!
Мелодично, спокойно
Saw her live at the Dakota in downtown Mpls a couple of winters ago.
Very good in concert. If you get a chance to see her live, it is well worth it.
She and her co-performers were their own road crew.
They had to packup late at night and drive to Denver for their next gig the next night.
I'm not sure how they slept, with the drive and loading/unloading equipment. It's like a 14 hour drive.

Do not play this often but when I am in the right mood hits the spot nicely. Such a controlled vocal delivery. Stunning.

Literal-minded comment incoming: "My true love is a man who would hold me for ten thousand nights" That's a bit over 27 years for those of you wondering how long that is.

Go see her play live if you get a chance. She is just amazing.

Every time I hear this song, which is often lately as I ordered the CD recently from Wax'n'Facts on their 40th birthday just to hear this one song a lot (shameless plug for my hometown's legendary vinyl store; still going strong), I am touched by its classicism and timelessness.
Always get some Aimee Mann vibe from this song before I work out it's not Aimee Mann. That's not a bad thing.
Definitely one of the most haunting songs out there, sung very well. The lyrics are heart-piercing and achingly poetic. Her voice is wow.
This one had me hooked on Vienna. Her voice is divine. And this song does things to me :)

I saw her in concert a couple of weeks ago. Solo - just get voice and piano along with harmonizer and looper. Really awesome. Highly recommended if you get a chance.

This is the song that first alerted me to the talent of VT almost a decade ago. Lovely. Interesting bio as I recall.
Absolutely beautiful.

She played live in our studio years ago. No auto-tune necessary. She nailed every note, every time.
I well remember that performance. And then I bought a reviewers copy of this album for $1. I ought to pay to see her play to justify the bargain. It seems pretty clear that there are no electronic gimmicks used in her music.

I think a lot of her stuff sounds a bit forced. I'm really liking this, though.
Sensuous, sexy voice. Nice piano, too.
Love this tune. Every time I hear it...it gets better and better. How is that possible? This is just an intelligent, well arranged and sung tune. Though I have to say that I like the title of the album the way I originally read it..."Dreaming Through The Nose!"
This keeps getting better.
Get goosebumps every time, and flashbacks of seeing her play this here in Austin last year. Agree with prior posters, she puts on an amazingly intimate show.
Best way I can describe her as, "Kinda like Tori Amos/chick with piano music, except she has a background in software engineering so she just comes out and says it instead of hiding behind metaphors about fairies and pixies and whatnot."

We got to see her at an intimate venue here recently. Just she and her piano and sampling machine, a la Imogen Heap. She has great audience interaction (helped by us being at a table a few feet away) and puts on a wonderful show—very charming and engaging. What a talent!
Such a lovely voice !

One of my all time favorite songs. Ever. I am a huge fan of Vienna Teng. Saw her in Houston. Amazing. Agree with Bill. She nails every single note. She sounded as good if not, if such a thing were possible, better live. It was a singular experience for me. Even went by myself dateless to a dinner theater where she had many fans.
