And magazines
Life is good
Grass is green
Come ride with me
Down 62
'Cause all I want
Is to be with you
Past rusted out
Faded towns
Little places
Broken down
Life is good
When I'm with you
I don't need
Anything.
I just wanna live like this now and forever
I just wanna live like this now and forever
I just wanna live like this now and forever
Now and forever, forever
Crystalline
Those perfect dreams
Its all wide open
At seventeen
Start again
Me and you
A simple life
On Route 62
Rusted out
Broken down
Little places
Falling down
Life is good
Or so it seems
I don't need
Anything.
I just wanna live like this now and forever
I just wanna live like this now and forever
I just wanna live like this now and forever
Now and forever, forever
I just wanna live like this now and forever

there's something in the synthesizer or somewhere that makes me think i hear the kettle whistling...
Bill, love that you keep rolling out Cracker to the masses...those of us that know the Camper Van Beethoven-to-Cracker lineage of David Lowery & Co love every song. Thanks!
CRACKER FOREVER! Like everything they do, a killer groove, wickedly witty lyrics, solid musical chops, and it rocks!
Cracker = Joy.
david lowery got great wit. always love hearing cracker & cvb.
Yes, given that this song writer has also worked as a quant and college lecturer, maybe his lyrics aren't intended at face value...
No way is he singing about 2020.
cracker can rip off whoever they want. y'all gonna wait a long time for another David Lowery - the patron saint of no fucks given. amen. love the stones too : )

Hardly. Are you actually listening to the song? Different tempo, different melody, different voice. But yeah, other than that, a perfect match!
So let me see if I understand. He just wants to live like this forever. Did I get that right?
Quite likeable but the end seemed to go... for... ever..
Me diggin' it.
You've got it all wrong: his real hero is Steve Wynn & The Dream Syndicate, circa 1984.
sounds like a contemporary country music song though it doesn't mention beer and pickups.

My god, both of those bands were very much better than this.

Sounds like they borrowed the mellotron from the old Moody Blues.

I think many people take Cracker way too seriously. They are sarcastic and sardonic, making their points with catchy tunes but great lyrics. Too bad they're mostly associated with "Low" for most people. Some great songs out there, even if "Forever" didn't really have many. Still...
...More Cracker, please!

You should be so lucky.

Musical stylings are almost intiresting, but the lyrics are a bit trite for my tastes (at least at the moment)
I have heard more Cracker in the past 2 days than I have in my whole life. Really quite annoying.

One line per song, please

Check out the bands on the AMG site (see link above). They have nothing to do with one another.I don\'t know much about Cracker (the band) - Is (are) Uncle Cracker have anything to do with Cracker? Are they (he) (them) the same?
This has a different sound from some of their other stuff, but I never heard a song from cracker that I didn\'t like
 It sounds like driving through...forever
Nice little song. At first, it sounded like this could be a Tom Petty song from his early days...

It's a song about life being good. There's no mention of drinking, working hard, ex-girlfriends/boyfriends, shooting guns, trucks, heartache or life being really tough but okay, let's call it country.
