Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again
However far away
I will always love you
However long I stay
I will always love you
Whatever words I say
I will always love you
I will always love you
Fly me to the moon
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am free again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am clean again
However far away
I will always love you
However long I stay
I will always love you
Whatever words I say
I will always love you
I will always love you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
Whenever I'm alone with you

I think every Cure song will eventually become a 9 for me. It seems every time they come on, I inadvertently turn the volume up. This one is no exception.
If it wasn't for RP, I would not have known about The Cure. Thank you William.

omg. This album is absolutely outstanding. Great album, great tune. Love every note of it. Genius
One of the very rare songs that never, ever, ever go stale, no matter how many times I hear it. I will love this song forever, I guess.

This entire album is perfect.
This album came out when I was 15 and I got it on tape for my 16th birthday and spent 2 weeks trekking the Dolomites listening to it near continuously. It brings back so many memories.
The sleeve notes report "This album was engineered to be played loud, turn it up!". What fantastic advice.

Possibly one of the best love songs ever
When a song reminds one of how love between two people was expressed and felt, well you give it a 9, besides it paraphrased Sinatra's "Fly me to the moon".
Great love song. The words are perfect.
An album like this comes once in a decade...
Classic (ha!) beauty. His voice is melty and their soundscape always transports me... <3
Haunting sound from The Cure , love it....
The song title is very honest
Love these lyrics, simple but meaningful...

This is good and all, but I prefer older Cure songs. The B-sides from Standing on a Beach, for example.

Just watched the Cure's induction (& performance) into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on YouTube. 40 + years later, they still sound great. And Robert's Smith's voice sounds unchanged. (how that's possible, I have no idea)

Love, a very powerfull verb.
....and so many Cure tunes to choose from, Bill. Not a bad one to have your favorite.
This is actually curing me on a day I need it so badly... thanks Bill. Happy Hump Day!
Very,very nice!
Love the lyrics in this song. Everyone should have a partner who makes them feel this way. "You make me feel like I'm home again". Just moved from 9 to 10.
Good choice, Bill.

What a great song this is.
Eleven, no hesitation. A 12 for the video of it.
I just saw them live and MY god, if such exists, they are good.
I bumped them to a solid fat 10 now...

I was 18 when this album came out and The Cure kind of passed me by at the time. Thanks RP for allowing me to discover them this time round.....so many great tracks!
Great band, great song.
Love the song and Adele's cover is right up there with the best of them.
Bill's daily Cure fix! What a gem!
Keep them coming.

Growing for sure, since 1989, and new generations of singers agree, like Adele, 23 y, born 5 May 1988, English singer, plays the song Love Song (by The Cure), theme included in their recent Albúm, a very personal and interesting version, I must say.......beautiful!.

For as much as I like The Cure this song has never been a favourite of mine. Perhaps it's just because it was overplayed on radio when it came out....

still a great song!
Adele covered this on her new album. She sounds even better live.

The Cure following Bowie.... just like they always have.
Coolest thing about Bowie's 50th birthday bash was he invited his followers + Lou Reed.
Mr. Smith, Frank Black, Billy Corgan, etc.
Great show if you can get it.

Such as bargain! A cure song every hour and thirty-three minutes or every 22nd song! (maybe someone should upload some of the Peel Sessions so Bill can span the years a little more)

You got a bargain. This album sounds so lush. It's the Cure's best, IMHO.
Yeah, I'd agree. There are quite a few standouts on this album.
Bill playing Nitin Sawhney two nights in a row put me in such a good mood, I promoted Love Song from nine to ten.
I'm a cheap bastard, so when I came across this CD at a yard sale for $3, I was "Cure"-ious.....(up yours, spell check!). One of my better finds on a Saturday morning.
I bumped them to a solid fat 10 now...
I have a great story of seeing them live in the 80's at a basketball arena and when we all stood up on the floor because they were about to start I realized everyone was only about as tall as my shoulder because they were all teens. I felt old then, being all of about 25, but the show was awesome!
The fact that they were sharing cigarettes instead of joints should have been a clue. (closest emoji I can find to a smoking one)
