Well baby how the weeks fade
Baby was the best part of your youth a sensation
Yeah that's a change
I never thought I'd end up fooling you

Do you hear what they say?
All these people living up in my street
Well they say
'Out of touch, she lives in faded dreams'

Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade
Baby how the streets change
Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade

And maybe when the cheat plays
Maybe when the ace falls from his suit
And he tells you
'Yeah that's the game, I didn't want to lose it on the two'

You're playing his way
But the prize that you've been losing was youth
And I say
'Throw the ace and face up to the truth'

Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade
Baby how the streets change
Renee Renee Renee Renee
But baby how the weeks fade

Renee Renee Renee Renee
Baby how the weeks fade
Baby how the streets change
Renee Renee Renee Renee

But baby as the weeks change
And we've seen quite a few
I don't know who's fooling who
I'm fooling you

Good bye.  You won't be missed here.
EXCELLENT!!  Thanx RP!

Thanks for playing a cut off it Bill.
there are more good ones on this album.{#Meditate}

It's my life - standard or tropical rainforest mix would be a fine play
Mark Hollis is/was an unbelievably talented singer/songwriter that I'll never grow tired of listening to. His breakthrough material with Talk Talk in the 80's - far ahead of their time - continues to draw new fans and hold listener attention. I find myself constantly adding songs by this group to my playlists - addictive!
Bill! - please expand your Talk Talk selection.
Fantastic
The last Talk Talk album to feature the Oberheim and the Simmons Drums!
Who would have guessed "Colour of Spring" would follow this? Brilliant!

Thanks for keeping this band in the rotation. I was fortunate to see them perform twice. They were truly underrated.

Nice song.  Didn't realize this band had so much depth beyond the well known hits.

Please play more Talk Talk.

So how do you describe this music?     Slow-dance New Wave?

What a random pick from Talk Talk. Beautiful song, nice!{#Yes}

Bleah.   I don't miss some of the 80's       What's next, Men with Hats?
You are always finding these gems that I've never heard before.  Here's another one.
Nicely done...
Not one of their best.....he always sounds bunged up.
Wow — for years I thought he was singing "Today, today, today." I just noticed the title of the song and realized he's really singing "Renee, Renee, Renee."

btw, I don't think that "release date' is right
pretty sure this came out in the mid 80's

A brilliant album and a production masterpiece!

One of the best band from the 90's! {#Clap}

The last couple of years I have only been listening to the last live album. I find it very refreshing to hear the studio version. Still, great music.

Very true. Those who don't get them probably tend to stay in the shallow end.... {#Wink}

No............just no{#Puke}
this guy can barely enunciate, let alone sing. has trouble holding and finding a pitch, too.
Spirit of Eden was my fav by far - however I also think it was sooo different than everything else at the time - it was the end of them ...  I still chuckle when I hear "Its my life" as it reminds me so much of music videos and my first girlfriend

i frickin LOVE talk talk, especially this cd and (sheesh, i forget the name of the other one i love) and i always liked this song, too. SO nice to hear it on RP. thanks to whomever uploaded it.

No worries, the other one is probably The Colour of Spring - note the English spelling of colour. A terrific album.

The Colour of Spring
very nice.
its not very good but its good
Come Together-like intro {#Drummer}

Wonderful!
Awful
Excellent Oldie from the era they made good stuff!

Kind of reminded me of Barenaked Ladies.

I did too at first, but as it played on I realized it was Talk Talk...similar sound and distinctive at the same time.

Get the album Laughing Stock...there are hints of that sound in this song. You won't know it's the same band—in a good way I think.

Only on RP have I heard Talk Talk's non-hit numbers, and have been pleasantly surprised. Like many I'm sure I've got tired of their hits, nice though they were at the time, and didn't realise that they had a bit more depth. 7 from the 1Wolfy jury.

This ain't no limburger!

One of my fav Talk Talk. . . .

Please ditch this 80's cheese.
ugh.  no positive comment here.  there are many OTHER 80's bands that don't sound like this that could have been played instead.  please be over soon............... never ending ........................

this song is getting lotsa positive comments...sounded like a very long dirge to me...glad it finally ended

'it's my life' was just practicing....i guess 'laughing stock' and 'spirit of eden' show the real quality

Talk Talk sucks. They used to replace their drummer with a "real" one for recording sessions.
I think it's not that.... they used a very early version of electronic drums. I think they may have used real drums in the studio, since the early electro drums were somewhat unreliable. They never sucked...they were innovative and far better than other bands that were around at the time.

says loads about this work, um, music, um, whatever this moaning is...
Excellent.

THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for bringing this back: I need to find my cassette of this record (yes, I said cassette)! Agreed, Talk Talk have always been underrated.
Not bad, just a version of Roxy Music on a live recording.
Talk Talk is definitely one of the most underrated bands. Most people know the hits, but they are much deeper than that.
Once again RP picks one my favorites from an old album -- what a great bass line!! Sooooo Sweeeet.

Exactly: Mark Hollis must have inherited Brian Ferry's voice. Throw in a little echo and they'd be identical. I like that SOMEONE is making this kind of music.
Wow, haven't heard this in a while. Yay!

hmm...
I've always liked Talk Talk since my brother started me listening to them in the 80's. Maybe an acquired taste but just always strikes the right cord with me! Cheers.
