While I can understand this to some extent, those of us who are fortunate to live in democracies have an ability 2/3 of the world's population don't have to play some role and have some influence, however small or large, in the countries we live in. In most of the currently democratic countries people fought over centuries to get us to where we are now.

Personally I think it's worth paying a little attention because, while far from perfect, I'd happily put up with the bullshit our politicians put us through so we don't have to deal with a lot of what the authoritarian or otherwise countries have to endure. E.g. Laogai.

Whether I agree with it or not, I truly dislike preaching in music.

Along with politics, I do everything I can to avoid politics.
