A rebellious spirit who rejects the conventions of jazz, Daoud creates music driven by a sense of inadequacy, challenging boundaries without seeking to please, and appealing to both curious newcomers and purists alike.

The entire work is permeated by a single tension: between playfulness and gravity, chaos and gentleness, irony and sincerity. With OK, his new album to be released by ACT in 2025, he delivers a personal manifesto tinged with downfall and repetition—but also with the selflessness required to begin again.

Around the music, the artist constructs a raw visual universe, marked by both provocation and youthful abandon, a return to childhood not for reassurance, but to unearth contradictions. Fragility, impermanence, satire—the aesthetic embraces flaws rather than concealing them.

On stage, Daoud and his band play with the rules, moving seamlessly between restrained lyricism and explosive energy. Since the release of their critically acclaimed album GOOD BOY in 2024, they have been playing a string of sold-out shows and making a name for themselves at venues ranging from Ronnie Scott’s in London to the Montreux Jazz Festival, and including Marciac. In parallel, Daoud composes and produces for others, never losing sight of his increasingly free and uncompromising personal vision.
