The Light is indeed Timeless, and it moves within and around us all! Before all the other students arrived and seated themselves for our 9th Grade Science Class, in a consultation about The Nature of Light, I remember asking Mr. Slaughter, who had just dropped the bomb on me that, "-- Light is the visible result of excited atoms, when photons are released --" "Wait -- what exactly is going on, what are they excited about?" He replied, "Well, when electrons get to orbit in a higher shell, on another energy level, it's a pretty big deal. But get this: particles is just one phase of the energy we're talking about...waves is another..." "What?" "Yeah -- it's both. But never at the same time. Go figure..." "Whoah..." Then, class began, and Stan the Man cranked up the radio and showed us how Olivia Newton John's angelic voice appeared on an oscilloscope, and how the sine waveforms seemed to stop and go backwards when her lovely vibrato cradled the magic of "Have you never been mellow?..." Thanks, RP and Mr. Slaughter, for making the days of magnets and miracles forever sparkle through the mud and endless sands of Time...
