I told you so, you know
We'd face survival, we're leaving lights on
We'll move or go on somehow
Looking like soldiers waiting to drown
And I'm not around no more
And looking at people that don't make a sound
When music's around, stay warm
And we've got no rhyme or no reason now
We've got the time of our lives now
It's seasonal, nobody knows
We'll make it known somehow
Just you and me, and we can see
Small machines and sunrise
Looking like soldiers waiting to drown
And I'm not around no more
Pictures of people that don't make a sound
When music's around, stay warm
And we've got no rhyme and no reason now
We've got the time of our lives now
Pictures of people that don't make a sound
When music's around, stay warm
And we've got no rhyme and no reason now
Looking like soldiers waiting to drown
And I'm not around no more
Lookin at people that don't make a sound

You're doing it wrong.

Shingles / Chicken Pox, Etc. etc.
I digress.
Got a 7 rating for this Simon Green piece.
Bonobos are our nearest relative and the coolest apes. Make love not war :o)
WARNING: Don't make love with Bonobos of the ape kind.
Well who cares really. Do you have a picture of your kitchen?
Bwahahahahahaaa!! This comment just made my whole day!!!
A lathe has nothing on this for sheer repetitiveness.
It's almost as if those chose to make it repetitive.
Boots-n'cats-n'-boots-n'-cats-n'
I'll see your boots-n'-cats-n' raise you to:
Boot-n'-pants-n'pants-n'-boots-n'-pants-n'
this guy's voice hurts my throat.
I know what you mean.
I thought it was Zola... Been a huge Bonobo fan for ages... The planets are aligning.
Before the voice came in I thought it was Billie Eilish.

I'm enjoying the recent album by Zola Blood and this runs in a similar vein to my ears. Needs further investigation, I think ...

I like Bonobo (and most electronic music) when it's instrumental.
The singing isn't a great addition at all in my opinion.
Also the track doesn't have something distinctive. It feels uninspired.
3 for me for now.
Fantastic how opinions can differ, I think this is exquisite! That's what makes a market...

Way generous Dude!
See what you mean - doesn't have the same grip on me as Zola Blood. 1st track of the day today and pretty chilled as it goes :-)
When it first came on I couldn't look up to see who it was. My first impression was Paul Simon (not sure why), but that quickly dissipated. When the beat and bass came in, I thought - 'Oh, Zola Blood, ok'. I was surprised to see it was Bonobo. Would not have guessed that.
Yeah, I'm working on a service migration

Well, since the musicians chose to do it this way you should probably either listen to it again or buy yourself a decent stereo system. There is a reason they chose to record it this way and though you may not understand it, it stands up well within the genre and the vocalist is very gifted/talanted and this track is recorded well and it creates a perfect mood with the music. The track is also well-recorded, mixed excellently and mastered very nicely. I see no negatives to this track at all.

Agree it's pretty tame and uninspired (especially coming right off Shpongle, which was the running order I first heard it on), but it's pleasant and polished, for the most part, which makes it a 5 for me.
EDIT - update two years on. This track has really grown on me. A solid 7 now.

Thanks, too!
I thought what a neat and novel idea; "Welcome to Radio Paradise" in a few languages for more global inclusion.
It works!
something new on RP.
Going with 7. See if it grows.

Instrumentals can be nice, but I love Bonobo's tracks that feature Bajka on his Days To Come album. Maybe I'm just partial to women's voices in electronic music?
This track seems like a pretty major departure from his previous style. That's not to say I dislike it, but it almost feels like a different artist.
Edit - Nick and Bo are up to 9 now
