I have only heard this here and I really enjoy it… haters = self inflicted pain lovers
This sounds exactly like the sound of 2006-2007 on Lucy, The Verge, and The Loft on XM Radio. Surprised it's a 2012 hit but it definitely has the 2006 sound. It sounds like what I might hear in a brewpub around then.
Never heard this before. catchy, gave it an 8. Have a feeling it won't hold up and I drop my score each subsequent listen.

I stopped working to turn this one up. I can't figure out why the average rating is so low!

With all the characteristics of a one-hit-wonder or a summer-defining teen anthem, this has the mysterious blend of likeability infused with that synthetic, over-produced, unmusical quality that seems to encourage the song to be immediately forgetten once it's heard. Now, where was I?
Potential but becomes grating

Yes, and it sort of reminds me of early Leo Sayer - sort of show-tuney and melodic with tempo changes with some orchestration. I guess this guy's voice is vaguely similar to Leo's too. Cool tune.
Good shout! As soon as I read your comment, all I could hear was Leo Sayer - Been a huge fan since he started.
Also harmonies of C,S,N?
I'm kicking off with a 7

Interesting. Would listen to more.
Fun.?
Meh.
Meh.
I get the Queen influence for sure... and maybe a little bit of Beatles and Elton John too?

Gotta say, I third this motion. Hadn't thought it through but I had noted them sounding like Queen if they'd met up in high school. But the New Pornographers vibe is pretty well there. At least if Freddie were still with us and had sat in with TNP for grins and giggles.
If only the still here part were true.
Sounds like a cross between Queen and the New Pornographers.

I don't mind a bit of bombast. I like this!

This vocal style doesn't agree with my old ears, much like the stuff I hear from bands like the Kooks. I just can't seem to enjoy it, that's all. Sorry fans. PSD.
I just do not like his voice.....
i rather liked it! a bit surprised to hear it on RP...but then again that is one of the main reasons i like RP so....such diversity!

HORRIBLE

There is a lot of sexual energy in the air. First the New Pornographers were played, then Cigarettes after Sex and now Fun. Looks like a theme for three titles. Very well done Alannah and William.
