weetie Little Jean where did you go?
Everyone's been searching high and low
And your mother's worried sick
Dearest daddy lost his grip
While the whole world's watching
Candlelight vigils being held in silence
On the channel four
And they've knocked on every door
Every place you've been before
How long will we let it go?
I think we should just let go
I, I want you back (back)
Let's get back
Lay my weary head against your bones
Where all my troubles will be dead and gone
How long will we let it go?
I think we should just let go
Has melancholy taken you for good?
You know that I would save you if I could
Watched your laughter turn to tears
Then you vanished in thin air
Well we pinned your missing persons picture up
On every mother-loving post
How's it feel to be a ghost?
You're the one I love the most
I, I want you back (back)
Let's get back
Lay my weary head against your breast
Where all my troubles will be laid to rest
I pushed and I pulled 'til I pushed you aside
Now all that is left are the tears that you cried
I'm sorry love for all of the damage done
I only hope that someday to be back beside you
I, I want you back (back)
Let's get back
Lay my weary head against your bones
Where all our troubles will be dead and gone
How long will we let it go?

i swear this was on yesterday...
I think the mix is weird here? the bass just went up and the vocals got kicked way low?
could be me but I normally donβt need to adjust my volume levels between songs
How come nothing from their new CD, Bill? It's as good as Tell Me I'm Pretty.
Just saw Cage the Elephant and Beck tour. I went for Beck but enjoyed CTE much more. They stole the show. Beck rushed through short versions of his 'greatest hits' in about an hour. CTE played for over 1 1/2 hours and it was all full throttle energy.
Some super nice song, I want to see them live if possible. 9:30 club.
Really worth seeing live. Their show really surpasses their recorded material IMO.

elephants & monkeys, a great combo
Looking forward to seeing these guys on Thursday 25 in Belfast π I do hear the arctic monkeys in there though.

Yeah, I hear that too, but it was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. Pretty much everything he does seems to have a "retro/nostalgia" (1960s or '70s) vibe.
Has a very retro, decidedly Turtles ("Elenore") vibe...definitely doesn't sound like it was born in 2015!

Woah! American?! Kentucky?!?!?!
I was certain it was a British band. Good thing I didn't think I had a career in this industry.
(side note - very much like)

And I thought they sounded a lot like the Meligrove Band - possible that both took notes from the Arctic Monkeys!
Cool sound. But I agree with the previous comments — thought it was a cool new Arctic Monkeys tune.
i'm diggin Cage, i'd bet they'd be fun to see live
Get that girl some B vitamins.

Not the most interesting song, but the lyrics are pretty cool
