Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy on me
Well, if I've done somebody wrong
Lord, have mercy if you please
I used to have plenty of money
The finest clothes in town
Bad luck and trouble overtook me
And God, look at me now
Please have mercy, Lord, have mercy on me
And if I've done somebody wrong
Lord, have mercy if you please
Keep on working, my child
Oh, in the morning, oh
Lord, have mercy
If I've been a bad girl, baby
Yeah, I'll change my ways
Don't want bad luck and trouble
On me all my days
Please have mercy, Lord, have mercy on me
And if I've done somebody wrong
Lord, have mercy if you please
Have mercy on me
Oooh, What a voice. like ol' wassername from Cold Blood.
Makes me run hot"n"cold at the same time.
Lydia Pense.
And i thought i was the only living person who had heard of Cold Blood.
For the uninitiated:
You are the sunshine of my life covered by Cold Blood
Nice guitar-playing, pathetic singing.
Wow that's wrong. Beth blues singing is world class.
I'd love to hear Susan Tedeshi sing this with Bonamassa....
Yes on Tedeshi!
I can say this about Bonamassa, he has a nice guitar collection. Otherwise BLUES HAMMER HACK
I'm guessing that 's some kind of illiterate insult. ALL CAPS, NO LESS. Glad I'm not such a blues aficionado.
12/1/22
Follows "The Man Comes Around" excellent!
Good pairing!
I should have guessed that Joe Bonamassa was involved as this is pure, 24-carat, unadulterated, chewy, shit-kickin' blues rock. The motherlode. Beth Hart's got the right voice for it, too. An immediate 8 from the toe-tappin' Nottingham jury.
Them's some fine descriptors! Agree fully!

Some people don't like the blues. That's OK. I don't like opera. But Joe and Beth are fantastic together!
so agreed...so smooth and comfortable
I'd love to hear Susan Tedeshi sing this with Bonamassa....
These two artists in concert together are well worth seeing!!
A concert. What's that? I faintly remember something called a rock concert that happened before covid-19 came along. Currently, concerts feel like an ancient piece of history.

I don't like the blues but lord have mercy this is amazing!

What did you have in mind? Smoke another tobacco cigarette?
I neither like nor dislike blues, but this is quite likeable indeed!

Yeah Jeff Beck has always been my favorite guitarist. But Jeff is starting to get a little sleepy. Hasn't really done anything exciting since the "Tal and Vinnie" era. Love Joe's energy.
Hah listen to his new album Loud Hailer. I blaring it full blast the other day and my 19 year old came down and said "OMG who is this,m it's SICK" and spent the rest of the song lurching about the kitchen,
this guy is 10x the guitarist J.Bonamassa will ever be, especially with Beth on vocal. btw BH at the catalyst Saturday night in Santa Cruz (!)

straight up dude, this woman does it pure kick-ass with smokin' Joe
I second that. Mostly boring...to me...maybe I'm just not in the mood. Seems a tad perfunctory. Don't hate it. Just saying.
I dare say Joe and Beth couldnt give a rats about your retarded description " bombastic " WTF are you on ? Lots of word wankers post in here. "Perfunctory"
Joe and Beth are not a group. Independant Artists that have both been doing there own stuf for 15 years or more. A very nice colaboration.

very nice
