You know you've got a lot to learn
You feel it but your heart won't burn
The fear is running every nerve
Your turning to the ones you've hurt
Nothing ever satisfies
You're screaming but your tongue's still tied
Starving but your love won't feed
Nothing ever sets you free

You know you've got a long way down
You'll feel it when you hit the ground

It's not what you wanted
It's not what you came here for
This place just leaves you cold
Where nothing matters

Pinned inside the walls of sound
Reaching but your hands are bound
Crying but your love's so sweet
Your singing but your heart still weeps

And no one ever seems to care
Feels like she walks on air

It's not what you wanted
It's not what you came here for
This place just leaves you cold
Where nothing matters

I can't wait for time to save us
And I can't break your fall forever
'Cause you always take
You always take too much
You always take
You always take too much

It's not what you wanted
It's not what you came here for
This place just leaves you cold
Where nothing matters
It's not what you wanted

It's not what you came here for
This place just leaves you cold, where nothing matters

I like this and don't undertand why the score is so low.

For music of this genre what more do you want?

Don't worry, Grumpy - just go with it. It's fun, it's harmless....

Our much-missed friend here still managing to make me smile with a rather obtuse Kim Mitchell lyric quote...
LOVE  BRMC
OK, but not great, Maybe it will grow on me.

Tonight it feels like scattered jam session in the studio.
BRMC is just not that good to get the rotation they do on this station ... Bill, pls cut it in half. There are tons on other bands that deserve more
Be sure to ask me what i rated this song

Apt title.

Most likeable!
Play that jam loud!!! {#Yell}

Just a great song. A driving, classic, simple dance-or-drive-or-smoke-weed song (but not all at the same time!)

The bananas are HERE!  {#Bananapiano}{#Bananajumprope}{#Dancingbanana}{#Bananasplit}{#Bananajam}{#Dancingbanana_2}   you gotta wait, they're slow tonight..
Second song from this album today. Excellent.
WHERE THE HELL ARE THE DANCING BANANAS???!!!!!!!!
81 is a jacket patch/symbol for the Hell's Angels. It goes along with their BRMC theme.
8=H, 1=A.   They claim to be "Baby 81".  Makes them appear like tough guys.
ack! nowhere near their best work. play something else!
BE OVER
WOOOW - is that bad!
Is that Matthew Sweet on the guitar intro? Oops, I see roverfish already sounded the alarm.

Motorcycle Club?
hmmmm ...I'm not normally one for negative comments, but I find this really pedestrian and repetitive without any charm or originality.
Certainly not what I wanted.

His voice whined like the sound of a big mosquito during that song, at least to my ears.
Sooo bad!
("3")

These guys have really been getting a lot of air time lately.

Not that I am complaining, they are pretty good overall.

Big bashing drums and a couple of hooks. Seems really cluttered and the guitar licks just don't finish, like someone who reallu shouldn't be playing lead guitar. I get the T-REx references but if Bang a gong came on after this I think you might you see how different and better T-Rex was.

Yeah, Marc Bolan's spirit is coursing all through this.
Bang a gong. Get it on.

it's all about timing...this song does that for me. i <3 brmc! Thank you Bill!

Was thinking the same - though more like JMC on sedatives.

I've been waiting to hear something besides "All you do is talk" off of this album.  Thanks, Bill!

Me too. This is more upbeat, less dark or edgy from these guys.
...i need to pick up another BRMC album or two for summre...
T Rex meets Supergrass
There are echoes here of Jesus and Mary Chain, but the band is good. Not exactly a new band. Saw their gig on line some years ago.

Pretty much same here. I like all I've heard.. talented band!
Yeah, a little updated T Rex sound I'd say

I'm hearing T. Rex myself.

Reminds me of early Supergrass. Definitely a good thing.
Great song to wake up to!!!
Another VooDoo Music Experience performer. They did a great set.
Call me crazy but this reminds me of Ringo. I'm not sure why.
I still think it reminds of Jesus & Mary Chain's first album
very nahce.
Quite enjoyable: 6 to 7 and climbing...
err, I mistook this for "All These Thing's That I've Done" by the Killers.
These guys RAWK!!!
farbenblinde (Vereinigten Staaten)
hehe, witzig.
Wow! I thought this was Sleepy Jackson. So far every song I've heard off of this CD sounds different. That's always a good thing.
Good, basic "Tom Petty" inspired?? rock. Gets my attention right away & my morning going.

Sounds like they got Matthew Sweet to...ahem..."play" the guitar on that intro. I always find myself grooving to the BRMC...great band, likeable (albeit Beatles-esque) tune.

BRMC's Baby 81 is my latest "bought because of Radio Paradise" CD. Thanks once again RP!
You shouldn't stop there. All their albums are solid!tinybubbles wrote:

Outstanding. Outstanding afternoon of music! I didnt have to switch to my high energy rock station once today.
I find that this song is growing on me, despite myself! Goddam, reminds me of someone.............lol.

It was a bit too tinny for me
NOT TOO SHABBY!
YAY! After the acoustic detour of Howl, great to hear BRMC pull out the electric guitars and effects boxes again!
This album rawks out!
