[Nellie Mckay:]
Watchin you glide towards me dear
Oh ho ho it's clear
Rumor was wrong
We were right
[k.d. lang:]
Swathed in all white as if a dove
Oh ho ho my love
They heard it wrong
We were right
[Nellie Mckay:]
Though your ears may hear it all my friend
Rumor has it
Rumor has it wrong
[Nellie Mckay & k.d. lang:]
And though your eyes may see it happenin
Rumor has it
Rumor has it wrong
[k.d. lang:]
Watchin you walk towards me sweet
Oh ho so complete
Rumor was wrong
We were right
[Nellie Mckay:]
Clutchin your coat as we depart
Oh ho ho my heart
They heard it wrong
We're all right
Rumor had it wrong
[Nellie Mckay & k.d. lang:]
Rumor had it wrong
[Nellie Mckay:]
And we had it right
Quit talkin bout it
[Nellie Mckay & k.d. lang:]
Rumor had it wrong
Watchin you glide towards me dear
Oh ho ho it's clear
Rumor was wrong
We were right

That piano bit is from Bach's sheep grazing song.
I was going to make some purely disparaging remark, but then there was that lovely bit at the end that almost made up for the twaddle that preceded it.
For some reason, I prefer k.d. lang in duets. It's almost as if her voice is too pure, on its own. 7 for this lovely partnership.
And this has to do with her music in...what way exactly? Oh right, it doesn't. Idiot.

Just caught k.d. on the Juno Awards (Canada's Grammys) an hour ago as a presenter. Sorry, but what an eye-sore. Some guy-like trench coat, looked bloody awful. I suppose that's her intent? Truly scary-looking.

Too short? It seemed just long enough. Nice tune.
Too ephemeral for me.

Saw her in concert, she's a character

I also like "Mother Of Pearl" form "Obligatory Villagers"
Nellie is definately one of those artists people either love or hate (and I'm a fan). This is nice, but there are much better songs on this album.

Didn't they play this in the movie BIG inside an FAO Schwartz??

This one's the highlight for me on "Pretty Little Head." I feel like it's the only truly great song on there. Unlike her first album, which had more than a half-dozen amazing songs. Her sophomore album was a heartbreaking disappointment for me.
Oh, and I think Radio Paradise has the song's title wrong. On iTunes and Amazon, it's "We Had It Right."
A little boring, but not the worst of this type of music.
... love nellie! love kd! you had it right!
A breathy Regina Spektor? I like it.... 7
Not what I expected...

Must've been something close-sounding; Nellie was only six years old when "Big" came out and she didn't write this until she was 23 or so.
Edit: The song name is "We Had It Right (with k.d. lang)", as noted earlier.
