I hold it all to the love in her eyes
Lord knows I can feel her, see her, in my mind
And her spoken words ring through my head
Though I'm lost, I can hear them calling me there

Hey, the song, do you feel (feel)
Leave your light on through the night
Love (love) and loss so dear
You know it's a long way home

Well a lonely road to the promised land
May be long but I see the end some day
To broken lives on the mountain side
Out in the cold, kinda hurried shifting sands

They're in the other world to where you lie
Pulling your heart then the ravens say goodbye

Hey, the song, do you feel?
And leave your light on through the night
Loss, from .... so dear
You know it's a long way home

Majestic!

Also Given to Fly (Pearl Jam).... William is being clever -- again :)
This tune sounds like bits of 2 or 3 songs. One being Going to California by Zep and almost every song by The Flaming Lips as well as solo Lennon.
Could be John Lennon if he were still alive and churning out stuff.

The flutter on the synth sounds like it's gone through a Leslie as well, but these days I imagine they're a bit of a rarity. Pretty much everything is done in the digital domain.
some one told me there's a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers

Someone did not like your joke! I got it! :-)
Sounds like a John Lennon kind of song.  I like it.
Nice song.  I guess they sound like everyone but Supergrass.  I still love the song...
Li'l touch of Flaming Lips in this one.
A pretty beautiful sounding homage to Lennon circa Double Fantasy.

I love it.

What was once tribute or at best a tip o' the hat, is now cast as derivative or at worst theft.
I guess I'm the only one who hears George more than John. I thought of Harrison immediately.
Echoes of Blue Jay Way in terms of voice distortion (or however they did it back then)
Nice song regardless.
Edit: Correction...found two others from 14 years ago.
Nice transition from Pearl Jam's Given to Fly 👌

The flaming Lips with John Lennon
Beautiful melody, but way too depressing lyrics for my taste.
This sounds like that Pearl Jam song that sounds like the Zeppelin song.
With this following that oasis song, surely a beatles track is next. I am hoping...

Always seems to catch, reach out to me.  Touches something sentimental, takes me to a time, a place.  Not something i'd seek out, seems to seek me out and draw me into a reminiscent state o mind.  Something i like in this rotation!

Fits my chillin state o mind!

Agreed!  I'm going 7→8 today, finding that I REALLY like this track.  I wonder though...is 'Fin' a reference to the French word "End?"  As in, the end of a relationship?

Actually...nevermind...I'm enjoying this enough w/out any lost love concepts.  Long Live RP!!

I'm such a sucker for the vocal processing in this song...
Gaz Coombes new album Matador is terrific in my humble opinion….
Ahhhhh, I played this entire album at work today. This is such a nice ending to a great piece of music.
Laid back, relaxed sound
Are we SURE that is not Daniel Ash singing?!!
I was thinking about Pink Floyd, if it resembles so many styles, maybe it got something in it {#Group-hug}

Does no one think this vocal resembles Annie Lennox?

Yeah, 'cause we know that Zeppelin isn't guilty of ripping music off.  I guess two wrongs don't make a right though...
Have to agree on the Lennon similarity.  Exactly the song that popped into my head.

avarage homegrown does the job!

But even supergrass cannot help this boring piece!
Another song that borrows the melody of Going to California.  The PJ song is Given to Fly.

Nothing wrong with that — steal from the best - good tune.

this song already makes me feel nostalgia for a few summers ago.

After many years of spreading global bonhomie, releasing a collection of classic singles and six great studio albums, SUPERGRASS announce that they have split due to the 17 year itch.

The group will play 4 farewell shows in June, starting at Glasgow Barrowlands on June 8 and ending with their final ever show in Paris on June 11.

The group formed in 1993 and their first single, the era-defining “Caught By The Fuzz”, was released in 1994; since then they have gone on to carve their totally idiosyncratic and not insubstantial niche in rock music over six studio albums and some of the punchiest singles of our time.

The group said today: “Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. We still love each other but, cliché notwithstanding, musical differences have led to us moving on and of course we all wish each other well in the future”

All I could hear was Goin' to California

"Someone told me there's a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair..."

Just that one musical phrase that almost matched completely (till the end where I think it dips down instead of up) with the Led Zep tune.

Delicioso.. así sea el final...
lennonized definitely
need to starch it up a bit boys

Maybe the time was not all ready for Supergrass then, or maybe they drowned in the sea of all the other bands. This is great
great tune heard it for the first time today
"super grass" I had some of that back in the 70's
Love the high chiming guitar tones! Good vocals, too.
The intro made me look... Oh, it's that album again. I'm afraid my wife will curse me once more for an impulsive buy.. until she hears this!
LOVE this, and this album.
