I find this song not bad.
Now I've got this stuck in my head and I can't get anywhere with it:
In another song, by another band, is a line that goes something like "a little band called Treat Her Right" - can any of you music buffs tell me what the song and/or band is?
I never knew til just now who the "little band" really was!
But now it's driving me crazy 'cuz I can't remember the rest of the tune. Help?

I love Morphine since finding them on RP - actually went out a bought a CD (Like Swimming). Thanks to RP, I have found a number of gems that I previously had no idea existed.
An oldy from back in the day. I used to listen to this tune on WBCN, Boston.
R.I.P. Mark Sandman. Great guy.

Treat Her Right was always one of my favorites. I can't remember where I first heard them but I know it was around 1987. "You Don't Need Money" is also a great tune. Love to crank the volume with that harmonica.

Same Guy. May he rest in peace. A sad loss. morphine was one of the best small club shows I ever saw. Right here in Sunny Steamburg Falls.
A highly enlighthen choice by the way. Not many people know of the pre-morphine Sandman.

I love the concept of breaking two glass walls in this song - the one between the singer and the object, and the second between the singer and the audience. . .
It adds to the spooky effectiveness of his voice and the laconic tone of the arrangement. . .
The harp saves this one.

Mark Sandman wrote another "jealous husband" themed song while in Morphine, called "Thursday" - it's worth a listen.
Dizzy...Morphine? No. Doorish?...sorta...I think I like this that's what I think!

I would recognize Mark Sandman's voice anywhere. Nice song, but I LOVE (and slightly prefer) that Morphine sound (miss the bari sax)....

treat her right came well before morphine. i was lucky enough to see them live... great show with an insane harmonica player! totally different live experience from morphine.

This was a great tune. Used to hear it on WBCN FM in Boston 104.1. Treat Her Right was just a local Boston band back then. I don't think this song hit the national scene, did it?
I think Bill G. is showing his Beantown influence (yes, I looked up his bio and he "did some time" in Cambridge).
