I thought it was Alanis Morrisette.

Hmm. I've always thought she sounds like Eliza Gilkyson.

All the songs by these folks sound very much the same, repetitive and amateurish.
I don't know anything about their other songs MD, but this song is repepepepetitive and amateurish.

Misunderstanding. I considered the "album listed by RP" to be the stuff under "song information" which is correct. The stuff under "Support RP: Buy this CD" is just a canned search on Amazon and from what I have seen, its is a total crap shoot. I took your comment to mean that the song "Fade" was not found on the "Live at Boulder Theater" CD, which it is. See? Everything makes sense. Oh, and sorry for the besmirch'n
Ok. You're right misunderstanding. No worries. Let's get to a more important topic. Do you like the song? lol. I can't decide if I like them or not. Oh well. I really do like Katie's solo stuff though. If you saw my early post about this song it has a link to samples of her solo album. Peace.
Am I the only one who hears Shakira?

NOPE? Did you not read the rest of my post that I know them? . . . The album listed by RP IS wrong! When you click the link, it is for the band Hot Rize not Newcomers Home.

Love the string section, hate the guitar solo. But a great song IMO.

NOPE... This is a live track from their live CD. But I guess your right; the actual disk is titled "Live at the Boulder Theater".

yikes...turned the volume way down for that one.
Hmmmm. The challenge of the mute button is remembering to turn the music back on. Actually, ex the singer's tremello, this isn't that bad. And...let's welcome new listeners to RP. Ohiyo gazimas!
Firts time for me to hear this band is here on RP. I like this song. The lead singer has passionate voice.
My god this is horrible, please don't play this anymore
yikes...turned the volume way down for that one.

In case anyone (besides me) is looking, the artist on this is Hot Rize ... I'd never heard of them before and really do like this!
NOPE. That's another group with a CD of the same name.

NOPE... Well I suppose your entitled to your own opinion.

Um the album listed by RP is wrong . . . The artist Newcomers Home is a band from Boulder Colorado. I know because my friend used to play bass for them . . . Here's a link to thier site. and another straight to the album this song is from.
Also the lead singer of this band has a solo album that is quite good. Katie Herzig has some samples from her album right here.
