The guy's a fuck'n genius.
Hey, he's a guitar genius too! ; )
Something doesn't need to be complicated to be GREAT!
SIMPLICITY IS BEAUTY!
Actually I think it's because our minds are geared for pattern recognition. We aren't trying to put things in boxes; we are looking for similarities. We can't help it and it's not a bad thing.
Very well stated! I Agree.
hey this sounds like something or another thing or that other person… The reason you all do that is because you lack the ability to stop your brain from putting things into boxes… stop it. stop the boxing.

Kind of sounds like Pat Methany.
If ones not listening.
What she said.
Fearless. Like Miles.
Kind of sounds like Pat Methany.
No. This doesn't sound like PM.
When Beck was composing this track, he should have asked Mike Oldfield to join him.
I don't see how anyone/anything could add to this track, it is as close to perfection as it gets.
Kind of sounds like Pat Methany.
Not enough Pat Metheny on RP.
I've always appreciated that his focus has always been on his craft and respect his humility. A quiet warrior...
Well said. Check out the interview on the "Live at Ronny Scott's" DVD; his humility is truly refreshing.
Damm this is another one of those songs that just drags me away from work and I have to actively listen to!
Very well stated!
Want him live? Better hurry. Have you checked his DOB? I'm not saying he's ill or anything, but one or two more concert-less pandemic seasons and you might miss a once-in-a-lifetime shot at witnessing greatness.
IMHO, Clapton is a very talented guitarist, Jimmy is a magician...but Jeff is the "artiste"of the 3. NTBM! (Not to be missed)
He's on my own funeral playlist...in several places. 😁
Love that you have a funeral playlist! I've been working on one the past 10 years.....and hope I can work on it another 30-40 ;-)
Jeff is in the Top 5 rock guitarists of all time.
Some days I think he's numero uno.
You can be in the top hundred or the top thousand, when you're number one it doesn't matter.
Tal playing bass on this one?
Apparently it's Randy Hope-Taylor.
What else can you say !
c.
I find it pretty easy to tell which Yardbird's songs he was on. They are are the 'interesting' ones.

Tell me more. They contacted on that days? ?

When I glanced at the song title, I thought I read "Superstition" and kept waiting for the searing guitar.
He sounded more like Pat Methaney on this track.
Durutti right? That's what I went to check for when I heard the guitar.
Sometimes great musicians may go in the same direction; I imagine Jeff Beck and Vini Reilly are familiar with each other's work.

does very nice music!
Nice tune -> 8
thanks
This time, exquisitely.
What she said.
Amen! Love it.
Yes - it has that dreamy quality. It's good.

He is a bastard like that, isn't he? ;o)
Yes. 8 -> 9
Wouldn't have thought Beck either. Damn good. Gotta check this record out
The first time I heard "Rollin' and Tumblin" I pulled off to the side of the road to listen to it.
You got that right.
I thought Bill Frisel. Nice track though.
Now I'm up for a Wilko Johnson tune!!!
I always find myself going back to his "Guitar Shop" album. All of his stuff is good but that one resonates with me more than the others.
Where's the NEW stuff from J Beck?
Did you ever hear 'Blow by Blow'? also really good
Just disproving the old adage, "The only stupid question is the one that is never asked."
Well, neither artist was in The Faces, but when I first heard mention of a recording artist named "Beck", I thought that Jeff Beck had formed a new band, until I heard "Loser", that is.
Just disproving the old adage, "The only stupid question is the one that is never asked."
Luv it!!!
"Which one?"
"Yes."
