I and I people must live on
Rasta people say we must live on
We as the people say we must live on
It doesn't matter what place you're from
We must live on

There is power in their game and so are we
Take a look in the mirror and the image you see
Don't you try to be a wanna be
You got to take full control of your destiny
First they take your land and your food
Then your music and your birthright too

I and I people must live on
Rasta people say we must live on
I and I people say we must live on
It doesn't matter what race you're from
We must live on

We have been through many ups and downs
But oh Lord, we are still around (thanks and praises)
So was the Indian, so was the Jews
So was the black man, so was everyone
It doesn't matter what nation are you from
I got to tell you we must all live as one

I and I people must live on
Jah Jah people say we must live on
Yeah, I and I people must live on
Jah Jah people say we must live on
Say we must live on, I and I people
Say we must live on, yeah, yeah
We must come together as one people
Say we must live on, yeah

Honour and gold will fade away
But your dignity is here to stay
There is always wolves in sheep clothing
Beware, for they will take your soul, yeah now
They will take your land and your food
Take your music and your birthright too

Ooo ooo.. must live on
Jah Jah people say we must live on
I and I people say we must live on
Heretical people say we must live on
We as the people say we must live on
It doesn't matter what race you're from
We must live on
Whoa, whoa, we must come together
As one people, say we must live on

I often fast forward past reggae too, but this stopped me. Special tune or am I in a reggae mood? No matter, grooving to it today.

It has a Marvin Gaye-touch to it

Pretty decent riff on the reggae trope.  Nice to have a wee bit of variation there every now and again...

i hate skipping tracks but I just can't take reggae
sounds pretty generic musically and lyrically.
Excellent bass mastering.
The finger snapping is annoying. It ruins the whole thing.
Don't often use PSD, but when Cake "Sheep Go To Heaven" came on I got this and love it!
I like it. Mixed feelings about some parts, and this is no increidble song. But it's a good relaxing tune.

Pleasant enough, but not exactly the epitome of reggae. The programmed drum track brings it down a notch for me.
I think, actually, that the programmed drum track unintentionally makes an interesting point.

"Rasta people must live on." Yeah, we wouldn't want to put an end to the drug culture, now would be?
i love reggae but this song sucks
We need jlind back in here to iron this out.

You know what. There's nothing worse in this day and age, than people trying to supress a person's personal views and tastes in something as universal and widespread as music. JLind merely said he didn't like Reggae. His comment did nothing to imply that he is narrow-minded. Are you suggesting that we all like EVERY type of music, and have some kind of indepth appreciation on a physical/metaphysical and spiritual level? I bet there is plenty of music out there that you would happily label "rubbish", "garbage", "crap", "boring" etc... comfortably in the presence of people you know. Would YOU like being criticised for NOT liking something? I shall opt to not comment on whether I like or dislike this track, as the backlash of comments about my conscious awareness of it's value could hurt
He doesn't say "I don't like it." He says "reggae is the definition of everything that sucks" Big difference. That is really my main point.
flame-off, it's only music.

Hmmm... A 21 yr old (you) who knows the definition of "everything that sucks"? Well you're entitled to your opinion aren't you, but a comment like the one you made implies you may simply be a narrow minded idiot.

About to give it 1, but I already did. Reggae is the definition of things that suck.

WOW. but look at your play list. you can get that off of any radio station. maybe your taste in music is not sophisticated? perhaps? babies dying war suck - not really reggae. jlind wrote:

Try explaining that to most Jamaicans and Brazilians.

I like reggae, and like hearing reggae on RP, but I don't particularly like this track. A bit overproduced, maybe.
Feel the same.

Keep the reggae coming! I guess I'll have to start uploading from my special mp3 stash.

IRIE I!
I STILL LIKE IT! GROOVIN AWAY IN MY PARADISE.
A sunny day, a gentle ocean breeze, a cold beer, and this song. Thanks for the daydream... :D :p

I still don\'t understand why RP plays regaee... it just is so far from all the other music on this channel. I\'ve said it before and I will say it again: this station would be perfect if it didn\'t play regaee.
Ya gotta love it.
I dig on the Wailing Souls -- they rock the vibe down to me bones.
ICK! Not my type of music at all.
:D
