At the very beginning of the Rona I totally enjoyed the âGentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaningâ audiobook. She talks about how annoying itâll be for your kids to have to sort through your crap, and how you should start getting rid of it now. (Even mentions getting rid of extra *ahem* personal things)
Makes me think of all those yearbooks and other doodads that my boy will need to trash/sell/donate, and how itâll make losing his Dad even more complicated.
My mother did this. After the funeral, there were a handfull of personal items and jewelry that mostly went to family. Paperwork was neatly sorted in a single file box. Dealing with the leftover medical bills was the only hassle and since she had already put me on all her accounts it was very straightforward. I was very thankful.
I'm about to put my dad on an iceflow with all his stuff.

First 90° day of the year. Yesterday it was 89°. Too soon for this. Not ready to put in ACâs.
Yikes. Seems really hot for Boston. Maybe put what we call a "split system" in one room so you can get relief. They are basically small heat pumps so you don't need ducts for the whole house. I have a bedroom that has no heat so really need one in there.
