Judge blasts Trump’s IRS lawsuit as filed for ‘improper purpose,’ recommends attorney discipline
“The nature of the suit itself and the conduct of the Parties and counsel from its filing make plain that this was an attempt to use the Court to provide some legitimacy to an agreement to confer immunity to people and entities affiliated with the President and to earmark billions of dollars from American taxpayers to redress grievances not defined in the law,” Williams wrote in her ruling.

"American women are leaving, not as a talking point, but as a documented, measurable, historically unprecedented trend.

Gallup reports that 40% of American women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they could. A decade ago, that number was 10%. No other wealthy country has ever recorded a gender gap this wide in the desire to emigrate. The top destination younger American women name is Canada.

The U.S. is now experiencing net negative migration — an estimated loss of 150,000 people — a scale not recorded since the Great Depression. Between 180,000 and 400,000 native-born Americans relocated overseas last year. Approximately 5,000 renounced their citizenship entirely. I am one of the women in that data. I submitted my application for Canadian citizenship through descent at the end of April 2026. My great-grandparents were Quebecois. The blood is documented. The paperwork is fileds of this week, IRCC is processing applications received the week of March 19. I am waiting for my AOR. I am a single mother, a scientist, and a homeowner in Newport Beach, California — a town where 402 people were arrested on the fourth of July while I stayed home because I no longer feel safe attending a public parade.

Gallup also found that younger American women have lost more confidence in national institutions than any other demographic group over the past decade — a 17-point drop in their National Institutions Index score, falling through both administrations, accelerating after Dobbs.

We are not leaving because we are weak. We are leaving because we have been paying attention.
The data does not lie. Neither do we."

When someone you love votes for a candidate who has promised, in plain English, to do something cruel and unconstitutional and historically catastrophic, and then he does exactly that, and they still defend him, the relationship isn’t being broken by your refusal to overlook it.

The relationship was broken when they cast the vote. You’re just the one acknowledging the damage.

Gutfeld and his colleagues want to frame all of this as “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” as a kind of emotional incontinence on the left. But there’s a much older word for refusing to extend warmth and intimacy to people who’ve signed off on the persecution of your neighbors and those who stand for democracy against authoritarianism, and it’s not derangement.

It’s conscience.

The Germans who quietly stopped inviting their Nazi-sympathizing brothers-in-law to dinner in 1934 weren’t being dramatic. They were doing the only honest thing left to do, and most of them, looking back from the rubble in 1946, wished they’d done it sooner and louder.

We’re not in 1934 yet. The midterms are five months away. The country still has somewhat functioning courts (other than SCOTUS), a free press that’s bruised but breathing, and the kind of organized opposition that can flip a House and possibly even Senate majority if enough of us show up.
