Gaetz resigned from House, effective immediately. News reports saying Ethics Committee was about to release its report on Gaetz. So, as someone said earlier, he had nothing to lose.
Seems possible this also may be to deflect attention from nominations of Gabbard and Hegseth.
The dregs of the dregs are being promoted to high positions. A couch humper, sex maniac, puppy killer, an anti vaxer, etc. Even Republicans are shocked.
We are so Fâd in what they will do in the next 4 years. Hail to the Emperor.
And my friends wonder why I left the Republican Party after being one for all my life. Very sad.
I voted for Reagan twice. I still have guilt about it.

This nomination of Gaetz for AG â whether or not he is confirmed â underscores that my fears of what Trump might do if returned to power were legitimate. They are being realized.

If Gaetz becomes AG, all bets are off.
Edit: No, wrong saying. All hell breaks loose.

No you're not. You're just baiting me to respond so you can twist my response in a way that trashes me and elevates you with everyone else here. That's the way you roll with me. It is a well established fact. Exactly how stupid do you think I am ? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
No, I was wondering if you had finally found a line you wouldn't cross. Guess there is one, but the definition shall always be mysterious.
See, you're putting your own spin on my response. Accusing me of being evasive (mysterious) Looking to find out if I had a line that should not be crossed. And then you would go on to say, well if you say this about X, then it would also have to apply Y. And then you would focus in on any inconsistencies that you find or create out of thin air.
You really do think that I am dumber than a box of rocks.
I simply do not trust you to be honest with me at any level.
That nomination might be a landmine for Gaetz. He'd have to be confirmed (unless if it were a recess appointment although I'm hazy on that) and the Dems would bring up all the alleged criminal activity. And then if Gaetz actually got the job, he'd have to work a lot harder than he does now.
Why not take the pre-emptive pardon from Drumpf and keep playing in the background?
No position for Marjorie Taylor Greene? Oh cruel world.
All this makes America look like the crisis point in a bad Batman movie.
With an authoritarian everything is a loyalty test.
He is nominating the most unqualified sycophantic clowns to see which Republicans in Congress dare to oppose him.
Gaetz and I both think he's got a great chance of getting in; Trump's going to test his boundaries with nominees until one gets a lot more outcry. Plus it makes Rubio seem like a statesman in comparison so HE'LL get no opposition.
So far he's doing exactly what he said he would do. None of it seems to be hyperbole. Wonder if anyone will ever admit to buyers remorse. Wonder how strong the institutions are...
