This is a flower emerging from our Agave (century plant). It is growing about a 6-10 inches a day. Eventually it will be about 20 ft tall, when it dries it will become our christmas tree for a few years. This is the beginning of the end though, as the plant will die once it flowers. But it will produce a lot of offspring that will become a new fence line for us. Imagine a row of these guys intermixed with thorny flowering bougainvillea plants - pretty and threatening.
