It took me a while to get into Deadloch. It was teetering on the edge of being over the top and obnoxious. But well worth a watch.

You have to have Amazon Prime to get it.
After playing three different variants of this game... it is awesome to see a live version of it.
It is quite graphic with the violent parts... but the wife is even hooked on this "mini- series". Which is rare for her.
The unique/ quirky characters in it mimic the ones from the game,
Highly recommended.

Yup on my bucket watch list.

Yes, really like this. The lead actress is in another Australian series about politics and plays a much livelier, if vapid, political operative.

Also great: "Defending the Guilty", a BBC series about an aspiring British barrister who may not be cut out for a cutthroat career in law. Sadly lasted only 1 season due to Covid lockdown. The lead actor is quite talented and has directed a coupla movies to boot.

I didn't include Christians in that list because I think most would also require closed captions - although they may not want them.

But regardless, my favourite theme about the show, no matter how coarse the language may be, is when friends ask for help, you help them.

Oh I see you working. We don't need no stinking linguists. We got practicalities. Arggggggggggggggg! lol

We’re binging and enjoying Hijack, too.
Of course, I enjoyed it the first time around when it was Die Hard.

I was left alone with the TV remote yesterday and was going to re-watch Slow Horses but this caught my eye. So I binged 6 of 7 episodes. I don't know how they can make "Airport," a 90-minute movie with a lot of drama and soap opera in the air and on the ground, into a 7-hour TV show (essentially) that's even more gripping? But they did it. So it's formulaic in that way, and I can accept that. But it's ludicrous how goddam stupid it is sometimes. One line in this trailer is such a clunker when it happens because it runs contrary to the character's style. But a major plot point (might be a spoiler but that's okay because it was a spoiler for me as soon as I saw it) is that passengers were communicating with the ground and the hijackers wanted to stop that, so they shut off the plane's wifi. MAJOR plot point.

Three-and-a-half stars, Joe Bob says check it out.

We just finished watching Season 5 of Luther and bad writing seems to follow Idris Elba around whatever he's in.

In an episode tonight someone made reference to winning an election and then the courts take it away from you.

It's got Rufus from The Man in the High Tower (I still need to finish that). I think it's pretty smart. Most of the cast is growing on me.  Lenny Kosnowski as Donald J. Biden is fun.

Reminds me of Slow Horses. Hope we get a season 3 of that one.

Rufus Sewell is a great, great actor. Wasn't thrilled with how The Man in the High Tower petered out at the end but that was an amazing series. I've been buying up a lot of Philip K. Dick's stuff because of that and Bladerunner and Minority Report and...

Must check out Slow Horses.

"Kleo Straub" on Netflix is pretty good. Can't wait to watch Season 3 of "Happy Valley" and the next season of "Babylon Berlin."
