That was one of my favorite songs as a little boy, it has a special place for me and has always been one of my Stevie favs.{#Cheers}

It might not be anything spectacular, but I sure would love to be able to play the bass line in Wilco's "Handshake Drugs." It travels around a lot and sounds like FUN.

I am watching "Ashes of American Flags" right now. {#Good-vibes}

That is actually probably my favorite Wilco tune, love it!

Phil Lynott on just about any Thin Lizzy track, but especially "The boys are back in town"...

Tony Levin with Peter Gabriel on "Downside Up" from the Milan concert.

Jaco is just phenomenal but his predecessor in Weather Report, Alphonso Johnson, was no slouch either... One of my favourite numbers from Black Market, on which they both contributed to different tracks, was "Herandnu", which was Johnson's composition.

Footnote: that there are even now only TWO Weather Report tracks in the entire RP library is one of the great tragedies of this radio station. Yes I know it's eclectic rock not jazz, but come ON...

Don't forget Jeff Berlin's "Joe Frazier". I really dig the way Tony Levin makes the Chapman Stick sound... just wickedly cool.

I've always really liked Chris Squire's bass line for the song "I'm Running" (Big Generator - 1987)  I'm a fickle Yes fan, at best but, there are pieces here & that that I thought were quite fine.
