Look, I'm not trying to distance anyone here, but the way you all write back to me is constantly with disdain and I'm sorry it's like that.  I do not know you, all I see is how you've got a very wrong view of me even after I write the truth about me.  I hope that changes and that we can have civil conversations here between all of us.  It's high time, right? .. please?   {#Rolleyes}  {#Cry}

I recently moved into a new neighborhood in the burbs, from living in the city for 8 years. I found out that people don't respond the same way out here. Everyone in the city is friendly, but the people I have met here have very tight boundaries. I can't just walk up to people here and say "Hi! I'm Hippiechick, how's it going?" I have to let them stare at me awhile. Then maybe they will get around to saying hi after a few weeks or more. And, geez, don't let the dog walk on their lawn! They stare out the windows when I go by, and shout and threaten if the dog goes on their lawn. Crazy neighbors.

But the point was, when you come into a new forum, or a new hood, or a room full of people you don't know, it is wise to stand around and assess the crowd for awhile. I have learned this the hard way myself, because in my world, everyone should just love me, as I love them (in my world).

You came on very strong right away, without giving anyone a chance to get to know you, and you have been using a lot of push. You shouldn't be surprised at the response, because people have obviously felt threatened by you. And, for pete's sake, this is not a religious crowd, and no one wants to be preached to. If you are looking for that, you will not get a warm response.

It's the way you wrote to me, mocking me along with Beaker and others.  It's been quite a challenge to speak at all when you write.  Mostly on the 21st in the Good News thread, but as you know, I deleted a lot of my thoughts there.  Still, many there on that day are about nothing good at all, just mocking others, especially Jehovah's Witnesses, and laughing along with them.  It's just not anything an older fella or lady would do, so you are now stuck in my mind as one that's a kind of king-pin of mocking others in this group.

your perception is of course, your own. this is a community of which I've been a member of for years. I like folks here and they like me. you showed up not knowing anything about any off us or the atmosphere that exists in this community and started preaching. that's not something that's popular around here. some of us found your naivete' kinda hard to believe and a little entertaining. If this is uncomfortable for you, you're probably not gonna enjoy this place very much. if however, you're simply trolling for drama and attention, well knock yourself out. rest easy now, I'm done with you.

What is it that you want to have happen here?

A lot of these people have been here for a very long time, and they're pretty playful, and they have very low tolerance for preaching, whether it be about religion, conspiracy theories, products, music, or anything.  (You have definitely been doin' some preaching.)

You do not know us, you don't seem to be able to understand any of what's going on here.  You're making a lot of remarks about what we all are like, but you really don't know.  I know you've had a pretty negative experience since you started posting... and I am sorry about that.  But you just keep doing the same thing... and getting the same result.

What, exactly, is it that you want from the people here?  How do you think this will turn out?
