Also, I think it's a mistake to think that programs on at any time of day don't live and die on ratings. It's kinda how programming decisions are made.

Given the bit you bolded, are you taking exception to the theory that news networks are as interested or MORE interested in entertainment that informing the public?  I'm pretty sure that's what you are saying, but I wanted to be sure...

The ignorance these bozos showed is really disappointing. But why are we surprised, we know that Fox makes stuff up just to excite the base.
