Holy Crap! This guy is actually trying to do what he said he would do! I will be honest and figured that he was spewing nonsense to get elected like the rest of them and that would save us. Who ever heard of a President actually doing what he said he would do? This is crazy and of course will never work, maybe this will give more support to the Libertarians who appear to be the only voice of reason, but then again, that is nothing new.

It was stirred up on the campaign trail and the winner of the election has done nothing to tamp it down. Winning presidential candidates are supposed to unite, right? The current president has done nothing but rend greater, deeper divisions. He does not want to appear to be the president of all Americans, only those who voted for him. I think he is an extremely dangerous man. His non-qualification for command makes him reliant on those he trusts, specifically a known bomb-thrower and agent provacateur. Bannon is pulling the strings now, and appallingly, he has been rewarded with a seat on the National Security Council. He has zero business there, and if I were the intelligence community, I would be looking at filtering the results presented in that forum. The president, meanwhile, is obsessed with trivial and superficial matters, and leaves him unprepared to deal with substantive issues and crises. There will be a crisis, guaranteed, some time in the next year, and the world will then see how prepared he is. The president has a lot to answer for, and he refuses to do so. Until he does, expect the anger to get worse.

Let's talk about stuff with more substance.

I will disagree with the bolded to a certain extent. People are using it for their own confirmation bias and using it to go out and riot, destroy property and torture people as did that group in Chicago who tortured that disabled white teenager. These shameless lies called news reports are being used as the justification to hate and hurt people. These reporters liars do not consider themselves culpable which is the real crime and they are getting away with it. . So with all the hate and rioting going on that has been initiated by the wonderfully tolerant liberal left, where is all the rioting going on from the terribly intolerant conservatives ? In fact can you show me any examples of conservatives rioting ?

We all are allowed to express our opinions here, provided they meet RP Forum guidelines. Judge Blocks Trump Order on Refugees Amid Chaos and Outcry WorldwideJudge Ann M. Donnelly of Federal District Court in Brooklyn, who was nominated by former President Barack Obama, ruled just before 9 p.m. that implementing Mr. Trump’s order by sending the travelers home could cause them “irreparable harm.” She said the government was “enjoined and restrained from, in any manner and by any means, removing individuals” who had arrived in the United States with valid visas or refugee status. The ruling does not appear to force the administration to let in people otherwise blocked by Mr. Trump’s order who have not yet traveled to the United States. The judge’s one-page ruling came swiftly after lawyers for the A.C.L.U. testified in her courtroom that one of the people detained at an airport was being put on a plane to be deported back to Syria at that very moment. A government lawyer, Gisela A. Westwater, who spoke to the court by phone from Washington, said she simply did not know.
The author of the op-ed piece below is an immigration policy analyst at the Cato Institute’s Center for Global Liberty and Prosperity. Trump’s Immigration Ban Is IllegalPresident Trump signed an executive order on Friday that purports to bar for at least 90 days almost all permanent immigration from seven majority-Muslim countries, including Syria and Iraq, and asserts the power to extend the ban indefinitely. But the order is illegal. More than 50 years ago, Congress outlawed such discrimination against immigrants based on national origin. ...
Nonetheless, Mr. Trump asserts that he still has the power to discriminate, pointing to a 1952 law that allows the president the ability to “suspend the entry” of “any class of aliens” that he finds are detrimental to the interest of the United States. But the president ignores the fact that Congress then restricted this power in 1965, stating plainly that no person could be “discriminated against in the issuance of an immigrant visa because of the person’s race, sex, nationality, place of birth or place of residence.” The only exceptions are those provided for by Congress (such as the preference for Cuban asylum seekers). When Congress passed the 1965 law, it wished to protect not just immigrants, but also American citizens, who should have the right to sponsor their family members or to marry a foreign-born spouse without being subject to pointless discrimination.

Agreed. However, there have been similar incidents in which Trump supporters have been kicked off planes for harassing fellow passengers. There's intolerance on the right and left. NYPD arrest Muslim woman who claimed attack by Trump supportersYou may have seen the story about her attack, but you probably missed the one about her arrest as did most of the world who only saw the initial story and have used it to further the justification for their hate of Trump. This one sums up a lot ... PRO-TRUMP 'VIOLENCE' CLAIMS FABRICATEDOn one hand, there are reports of pro-Trump violence. A female Muslim student at the University of Louisiana claimed two white men wearing Trump hats ripped off her hijab and stole her wallet the day after the election. Gay Canadian filmmaker Chris Ball claimed he was severely beaten and bloodied by Trump supporters in Santa Monica, California, shortly after the election. The young Muslim woman later admitted to police she had fabricated her story, and evidence of Chris Ball’s attack has not been confirmed by local police or hospitals. ... The anti-Trump violence has not been confined to mass demonstrations. Video also surfaced of a group of young black men in Chicago beating up a white man because he supposedly voted for Trump. The attackers even drove away in the man’s vehicle while his hand was stuck in the window, dragging him down the street. A California high school girl who supported Trump also got beaten up by a girl who accused her of hating Mexicans. Cell phone videos captured that incident. ... “The big lesson post-Trump is that every single reporter who misreported Trump from the day he announced – they misreported his ideas, they misreported his viability, they misreported everything,” he said. “There’s no humility there. They don’t care. They just picked up the day after the election as if they had not totally misreported the biggest story of our lifetimes. “So they’re going to continue, and as a result the people they write for or report for are going to lose more and more audience, like the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, and the people who run these media outlets don’t seem to care that they’re responsible for misreporting stuff day in and day out. It doesn’t seem to matter to them, and people are just turning away from these places.”

Immigration Ban Is Unlikely to Reduce Terrorist Threat, Experts SayRarely does an executive order announce a more straightforward and laudable purpose than the one President Trump signed on Friday: “Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States.” But the president’s directive is unlikely to significantly reduce the terrorist threat in the United States, which has been a minuscule part of the overall toll of violence since 2001. Many experts believe the order’s unintended consequences will make the threat worse.

President Trump’s first seven days of false claims, inaccurate statements and exaggerationsRegular readers know that candidate Donald Trump had difficulty with facts. He earned an astonishing 59 Four-Pinocchio ratings over the course of the campaign. Now that Trump is president, he continues to make misleading statements, based on incomplete information, inaccurate statistics or flights of fancy. Here’s an accounting of his public statements in the first seven days as president, not counting his error-plagued inauguration speech (which had eight problematic claims). If we wrote a full fact check, we noted the number of Pinocchios the statement received. ‘Up Is Down’: Trump’s Unreality Show Echoes His Business Past
....
Yet even jaded connoisseurs of Oval Office dissembling were astonished over the last week by the torrent of bogus claims that gushed from President Trump during his first days in office.
We’ve never seen anything this bizarre in our lifetimes, where up is down and down is up and everything is in question and nothing is real,” said Charles Lewis, the founder of the Center for Public Integrity and the author of “935 Lies: The Future of Truth and the Decline of America’s Moral Integrity,” a book about presidential deception.
...
But for students of Mr. Trump’s long business career, there was much about President Trump’s truth-mangling ways that was familiar: the mystifying false statements about seemingly trivial details, the rewriting of history to airbrush unwanted facts, the branding as liars those who point out his untruths, the deft conversion of demonstrably false claims into a semantic mush of unverifiable “beliefs.” Mr. Trump’s falsehoods have long been viewed as a reflexive extension of his vanity, or as his method of compensating for deep-seated insecurities. But throughout his business career, Mr. Trump’s most noteworthy deceptions often did double duty, serving not just his ego but also important strategic goals. Mr. Trump’s habitually inflated claims about his wealth, for example, fed his self-proclaimed image of a business genius even as they attracted lucrative licensing deals built around the Trump brand. ...
“In a democratic government, there must be truth in order to hold elected officials accountable to their sovereign, which is the people,” Mr. Schmidt said. “All authoritarian societies are built on a foundation of lies and alternative facts, and what is true is what the leader believes, or what is best for the state.” Mr. Lewis argued that the president’s untruths were a deliberate strategy to position the nation’s leading news organizations as the enemy of his administration. “Fact-checking becomes an act of war by the media,” he said.
