I was an accidental vegetarian for a while... realized that I hadn't eaten any meat in weeks and weeks... then realized that I hadn't missed it.  And so I decided to continue to avoid it on purpose.  That lasted for over a year.  Then I was drunk at Perkins at about 2 AM one night and a Patty Melt called my name.   That was the end of my vegetarian days.  Though I still often go weeks at a time with no meat.  I really just don't crave meat that often.  I don't miss it too much when it isn't around.    Just don't ask me to give up fish or cheese.
