Thank you Lazy8 for posting that. A few years ago I came across an artist that is carrying on the mountain music tradition. Riley Baugus from North Carolina, his cd "Long Steel Rail" is a treasure. I know there are a few (I know, a very, very few) that play old-timey instruments out there (Callum...you're into folk music? You may or may not know that the folk music of southern Appalachia comes directly from Britain, Scotland, etc. There are even some tiny communities down here where folks still have weird traces of Scottish accent. Leslie- you still play a banjo or am I halluncinating to think you did that??)
