How does camera idiot here get a better photo of the the view fro the deck here.  It';s the pic du midi d'ossau but I'd like a shot of the range of mountains but when I try on auto it focuses on lower down stuff and on manual it's too dark. What I could do with having brought with us is the manual for this damn camera.  /mrshj

For the last several months I've left my best lens on my best camera body and started from there whenever I go out on a shoot. I have an older camera I carry to work in the work van that gets more use so in just under a year the new camera body has only taken 3500 shots. It started acting up lately and it took me a while to figure it out. I wasn't excited about sending back the camera (in warranty for another month) or the lens (out of warranty for several years) for repair. Anyway, I finally concluded that it was the camera body not the lens. After cleaning the mount all is well. Whew!

This software has recovered images from formatted cards before. I'd pretty much given up, then I thought, "WTF! Just format the thing so the recovery software can find it's way in.

Follow my drift?

I had that happen with my Canon EOS once. The Mac thought the flash card was blank and wanted to format it. Instead of formatting it I put it back in the EOS and took another pic and then tried it in the Mac again and this time everything was back..

Unfortunately the camera has an issue with the card too.

If you format, you will most likely lose your pics. Unless it's a different type of formatting.
