I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May.
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl).
I've got so much honey the bees envy me.
I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees.
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl).
Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Ooooh.
I don't need no money, fortune, or fame.
I've got all the riches baby one man can claim.
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, mt girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl).
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
with my girl.
I've even got the month of May
with my girl [fade]

We'd take long drives in the beater car her dad bought her, and play oldies over and over. Those bright summer days with her were amazing, as was the soundtrack
Don't let the Joneses get you down!
SOLID 10
Tugs at the heartstrings in the best way

Gotta move this up to a 10! They'll be playing this one for another 40 years!
Lucky enough to grow up in Detroit in the 1960s. It was great times, in spite of '67.

"...five beer, three colas, two Cuba's, three juices and one milk..."
Saw these guys in London - no not that one, the one 2 hours drive from Detroit in the early 70's. Just them and a backing tape, but somehow they made it work. Those suits too.
Bless you David Ruffin (and Motown).

Talk about having it all. I love the drums on this track. Wonderfully overproduced.

Of course this is a great song and I could also do just fine never hearing it again.

Sweet.
What a great time this was.......
Just saw a movie about them....didn't realize that they switched and lost so many members.

Always dug this song. A real classic. A great, great song. Smoky really could write some great tunes.
I had this on a 45 when I was a kid and played it so much I literally wore it out.
That was so refreshing! Kind of like a shot of adrenalin...

Great memories here. Reminds me to get this and my other LPs out and digitize them into iTunes for posterity (mine, anyway :-) not to forget convenient travel listening.

An all-time great with a beautiful sound. Thanks for playing it.
Ive often thought if I only had one album to listen to on a deserted island it would the the "Temps" greatest hits.
instantly identifiable on the radio, back when radios had no usb cables to worry about.
On weekends my friends and I used to spend the night on the (nearly flat) roof of our garage in San Diego. The radio looked like it had been run over by a truck, but it sounded great to us. You can't worry about anything when singing along with music like this. Alright, who's got the cigarettes?
