Why couldn't they have done it right at the time? They put out so many CDs in a hurry without much care to the final product. Second and third-generation masters, etc.

I live in Dallas where we have almost as many blues bands as you can shake a stick at. Rattle Snake Shake is a common part of a blues band repertoire around here. I have two friends whose bands both do the song.

I am really enjoying hearing the pre-Stevie Nicks era of Fleetwood Mac. Don't get me wrong, I like that era just fine, but I am loving this stuff. Will have to add some older FM to my collection soon. Great stuff. Thanks for continuing to broaden my musical horizon RP :)

You are right, and I like the early Fleetwood Mac the best. For example Bare Trees, but I still think this song is not one of their best.
