Put a candle in the window, 'cause I feel I've got to move.
Though I'm going, going, I'll be coming home soon,
'Long as I can see the light.

Pack my bag and let's get movin', 'cause I'm bound to drift a while.
When I'm gone, gone, you don't have to worry long,
'Long as I can see the light.

Guess I've got that old trav'lin' bone, 'cause this feelin' won't leave me alone.
But I won't, won't be losin' my way, no, no
'Long as I can see the light.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Oh, Yeah!

Put a candle in the window, 'cause I feel I've got to move.
Though I'm going, going, I'll be coming home soon,
Long as I can see the light.
Long as I can see the light.
Long as I can see the light.
Long as I can see the light.
Long as I can see the light.

Just saw Miko headline the Porcupine Mountain Music Festival, she was great. My only disappointment was that she didn't perform this song.

FCN BLESSED! GBU MIKO!
They need to change the name this station to cover tunes!  Good or bad that’s what we hear half the day

99.9% of remakes are unnecessary!

Like it but yet another cover!?!

ooo i MUCH prefer miko. (i know, sacrilidge)
Love this song....
Kinda sounds like Janis Joplin

As a bona fide, card-carrying member of the boomer generation I too could whine and moan about the sacrilege of covering CCR. This is not CCR. And it's the best damn version of this song I've heard since 1970.  Carry on Miko. Let's hear some more.

For sure. We need less boomer gen whining. I agree. Definitely the BDV of this song since Cosmo's!
The track sheet style album cover is cool!

Very nice cover. Talking about covers, nice album cover as well.

Nothing notable here except for her voice. Fantastic!

The bass player is far more than notable.

As one of those boomers who was born at the tai end i find this a fine version of a CCR song

I only just scraped into 'boomer' myself, but just to decode for  the youngsters of 'X' and 'Z' etc, who may not already know, "CCR" = Creedence Clearwater Revival.
.
I quite liked this version myself.
Try this.

Lovi it.
Great Voice,  and it is a great (original) song - but I think her talent is wasted on this effort unfortunately

Where do I file you?
E for effort, a 9!

Mavis is more more soulful singer, though.
Yeah. No. Really adds nothing to the original, IMO.

Kudos as far as being a musician goes.... but doesn't  take it anywhere Fogerty hasn't already taken us.
This was pretty good for a cover.  My only complaint is it's missing the thick, bossy sound of the CCR version.  I need to hear it pushing the walls out on the joint.

Yes and also yes. This is amazing.
If you don't like it, I suggest you turn the volume to at least 7. That'll give you a better sense of what makes this song great.
Saw Miko open for Little Feat earlier this week and she's an amazing singer. Got the sense she was holding back a bit, then she came out to sing some backup for a couple Little Feat tunes and she really opened it up. Great show.
I think this is great… Yes I did think at first that Mavis Staples recorded this.
Oh, oh, Wikipedia says she's country. Cue the haters.

I saw Miko Marks and her band perform twice at a festival this summer - very engaging, and fantastic performances. Don't write her off... there is more to come!

My God. CCR's influence is undeniable. And I love CCR.

After the first minute, I asked myself: I know this somehow, but where from? Then a few clicks on the net and there it was: A Creedence Clearwater Revival song from 1970. Never recorded from the radio, but apparently heard often enough back then. Ergo: You never forget your first love. And certainly not the songs before.
