Golf is a disgusting waste of real estate and resources.
In areas where grass doesn't grow naturally, amen. Looking at you, California.
In areas with great rain I've seen farmers with large areas not being needed for whatever reason turning an area into a 9-hole or whatever. A little extra income or farmers isn't a bad thing if they're OK with it.

So this is out on YouTube... Bryson DeChambeau has a series called "Break 50". He and a guest attempt to break 50 as a 2-person scramble (both hit...take best...both play from there...repeat).
Yesterday they released one with Trump
Some thoughts after watching the first 5 holes.
Trump hits the ball well for someone his age. That said, any suggestion that he's breaking par is laughable.
Trump is not a good putter. He's only winning club championships if nobody wants to beat him.
Trump looks old standing there watching Bryson. Good for 79... but his "relaxed" moments show his age. It shows how good he is when on stage. Win or lose in November, he's gonna look old in a few years (like Joe). 80s is a brutal decade.
He has played a lot of golf, but he doesn't "understand" the game. His comments and questions to Bryson lack the depth of anyone who played serious golf.
Finally... he just can't tell the truth. Turnberry is a great course, but it's not number 1 in the world on any list. He says it 3 times in 10 minutes. He never tells the truth.
...He could easily be better with a little focus, the actual story is impressive but overshadowed by the lies, and everyone sees what's really going on but two camps have vastly different opinions on what is 'real'. It's pretty much a metaphor for everything trump.
What's amazing isn't that he won several club championships this year... it's that you can't find anyone who lost to him.
I don't know that he's gonna get any better... muscles just don't learn fluid movement at 80. That hitch at the end of the putting stroke is unique for sure.

his putting needs work - what is that little flip he does at the end of the stroke? How the hell does he have any short game? 5:42 - the kids at the putt putt course are smoother than that. That said, his drives are good for any amateur, and actually pretty impressive for a 79 year old. I'm not that good off a tee. All this is not really surprising though - he golfs a lot, and he focuses on the showy part and ignores the minutia and important details. He has yes men and handlers that 'give him' the last few feet because "you're basically there already sir". Then he lies to either convince himself or others that he's mastered the game. He could easily be better with a little focus, the actual story is impressive but overshadowed by the lies, and everyone sees what's really going on but two camps have vastly different opinions on what is 'real'. After a "shorter" universal earth-circuit bypassing an enlightened twin-star to our sun (which recurringly influences planet Earth's morale as layed down in mankind's holy Scripture and behavior, so many things are pretty determined). Just exhaling.
I have a feeling that a few moments with google could find an example or two of conservative parents disowning their gay/transgender/liberal kids. So two sides of the coin.... one more point to the shiny quarter.

His reaction to Bidenâs decision was small-minded and divisive
The 2024 election is Donald Trumpâs to lose, and he may yet manage it. That was our reaction to his splenetic outburst on Sunday after President Bidenâs withdrawal from the presidential race.
It should have been an opportunity to show some class and judgment by welcoming the decision, warning U.S. adversaries not to take advantage of Mr. Bidenâs last few months in office, and saying Vice PresidentKamala Harriswill have to defend Mr. Bidenâs failed record. Short and presidential, with a unifying tone.
Not Donald Trump. On Truth Social on Sunday after the announcement, the former President posted this: âCrookedJoe Bidenwas not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasnât capable of being President, and he wasnât - And now, look what heâs done to our Country . . .â And on down from there.
We realize Mr. Trump is frustrated that he wonât be able to run against Mr. Biden. But he remains the favorite and has a strong case to make against the Biden-Harris record. The GOP convention was a political success, despite his self-indulgent Thursday speech.
The biggest doubt voters have about Mr. Trump is that heâs a divisive, vindictive man who is unable to speak for all Americans. He had a chance on Sunday to show he is capable of more, but he didnât rise to the occasion.
Shame on Joe for showing concern and kindness when contacting Trump after his brush with death.
This is the payback he gets days later.
Trump is reprehensible human and never fails to re-enforce that whenever given the chance.
