And on another note: has anybody seen a clip of 6 security guards at the Oakland game chasing some guy stealing the seating. My buddy heard it on Sports Radio and was telling me about it last night.
If anybody finds a clip of it please post it. I searched it last night to no avail and only found written posts of the happenings.

Back when I lived there, the guards would be holding the gate open for you. I learned that when you get off BART, the ticket window is at the far end of the stadium, but you can give the guard at the bleacher gates a ticket with Alex Hamilton's photo on it and your whole group gets right in.
But they have one more game tonight, right? Might need a place to sit. THEN steal whatever's not nailed down.
Edit: Last game was today, A's won 3-2 over Texas Rangers.
I appreciate your input but, I'm talking about the yearly brouhaha that this was going to be the Sox's year at the start of the season that quickly faded to silence after reality set in years ago. We've been talking baseball in here for 20 plus years.

I don't read this thread much, admittedly. I was/am just surprised that Red Sox fans had anything to chirp about here for the past 3 seasons. AFAICT Boston hasn't fielded a credible playoff-worthy team in that time. They did get to the ALCS in '21—I remember posting here about that—but the the Astros handled them pretty easily. Since then, it's not been pretty.

Right, I was more specifically writing about here and baseball, where it is awfully quiet these days.
As a recovering BoSox fan I'm suspicious about your claim that you've read a lot of smack about the Red Sox in the past few years. John Henry, the principal owner, committed to rebuilding the farm system and promoting players into the majors from there. That's taking a while. Chaim Bloom's attempt to field a team through bargain-basement castoffs and trades for role players didn't pan out and cost him his job as GM. Craig Breslow, his replacement, isn't setting the world on fire. There's some hope with the promotion of some younger players like Tristan Casas, Jarren Duran and Cedanne Rafaela. There are three minor leaguers— shortstop Marcelo Mayer, outfielder Roman Anthony and catcher Kyle Teel—who are generating a lot of buzz. But the Sox really really need starting pitching. Giolito was supposed to be the #2 guy but he tore his UCL (I think) and hasn't pitched for the team yet. John Henry will likely have to pay big for free agent starters although Richard Fitts came up late in the season hasn't given up a run through 15 innings pitched. We'll see. Henry will likely have to pay for some great pitchers before you see a return of Obnoxious Boston Fans to this thread.

Braves & Mets will play a doubleheader on Monday to likely determine who's in & who's out. In addition, Braves/KC on Friday may get postponed so 2 doubleheaders in 3 days for a playoff spot. That's why they get paid the big bucks.
Padres are 2 games back of the Doyers and just won the first game of 3 in LA⦠Padres up 4-1 going into the bottom of the ninth, Dodgers got 3 straight hits, one run in, and the Padres get an around-the-horn triple play to end the game. Fantastic!
Yeah, I saw a clip of that play - very cool. Ohtani was looming in the on-deck circle too.
