OK then, so there are those who do not believe and those that do.  This picture is for those who do not believe.

Please explain the purpose or circumstance of these contrails that either converge to a specific point or begin to diverge from the specific point that this picture clearly illustrates.  There are at least 3 trails that meet at the point and end or begin, take your pick.  I can offer no explanation other than there they are.

Yeah, speaking of snark...the author uses more sarcasm than absolutely necessary, but then he gets accused of being In On The Plot, and worse; it's hard not to reply in kind, but it doesn't help with somebody looking in from the edge of the rabbit hole. But not many people are taking the debunking of this seriously at all, so I'll refer to it until something better turns up.

Fortunately somebody else has already been down it and written a very nice rebuttal to the most persistent chemtrails claims.

I don't have his patience. The combination of scientific illiteracy and fanaticism embodied in the chemtrails crowd is literally stunning; if you're wondering if this is a joke...there are people who take this very seriously. Like quit-the-day-job-and-start-a-nonprofit seriously. They have a lot invested in their beliefs, and they are every bit as convinced as any other conspiracy theorist.

It's hard to know when a meme like this will actually take root. The they-faked-the-moon-landings crowd gets giggled at as much as flat earthers, but hell—lots of people believe the earth is 8k years old. Go figure. So I'll just drop this link into the mix for anyone thinking of falling for this.

If you already have...I'm really sorry. Reality will be waiting when you get back.

I read back and it hits me. . . if this is representative of education in this day and age. . . We in some deep dodo folks.
Yikes. Logic is no longer encouraged, real world thinking is frowned upon. . .and Darwinism isn't allowed to take these fools from the gene pool.

Oh, and the screen name? It comes from when I was an Aircraft Refueler.  Of course that just means to the "Faithful", I'm in on the scheme, and CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!1!1eleventy!1!

Now, almost all the planes use a High Bypass design that is far more efficient, and as more and more of the older styles are removed from service, more and more of the style of contrails made by this type of engine will dominate.
Even the military is using more of this style on everything but fighters.

This whole agrument is like claiming modern car engines are magical because the exhaust smoke doesn't look like Granpa's old Model A

Now that makes sense.

Nice picture, but it's really meaningless. What's changed is that some of the new contrails don't break up, they continue to linger, and form a cloud cover with other contrails. Confusingly, some of the present contrails do rapidly diminish, just like in the old days.
