What I've been hearing from moderate Egyptians is that the Muslim Brotherhood are indeed a conservative organization but by no means radical Islamists. I have no reason to believe otherwise though I'll do some research myself. Egyptian Museum in Cairo, some artifacts were damaged during looting that occurred over the weekend. They're destroying their own history for a few trinkets.

Egyptians sheltered and protected a 60 member college band from MN that was touring and playing the previous week around various towns in rural Egypt.

They interviewed the band leader today and she said the airports are chaos with people trying to get out of the country.  They were able to fly to the Netherlands and schedule return flights home for the students and all their instruments.  She said the young Egyptians are really fired up to establish a democracy with free elections.

Today the local news stations here were interviewing everybody they could find in Minnesota that was from Egypt (many were Americans) or that had family there.
It really helped to get a fuller perspective regarding the current gov there.
