New guy in our shop also does custom sheet metal (and art cars for burning man). He does a lot of pre-war stuff. It's all beautiful. I'm not sure if I can get pics, but you would love this stuff.

Why go half-assed when you could go fully-assed?


This was 7 years ago. Since then the project has only gained momentum; the two blokes shown have turned it into a truly stunning example of geeking out over automotive fabrication. If you've ever built anything or just appreciate craftsmanship you need to see this, all 30+ episodes.

My brother and I once owned a 1960 Cadillac. We managed to work it out, even without a working fuel gauge. A far better looking car IMO. No more practical though.
